As Katie Holmes And Jamie Foxx Rumors Settle, The Beauty Is Preparing To Step Behind The Camera Once More

|Katie Holmes has been in the headlines constantly for the better part of a year due to her busy and successful career, involving a role on the TV series Kennedys: After Camelot and her role behind the camera as director for the film All We Had. Holmes recently admitted that the experience taking on the position of director of the film had sparked a new love for filmmaking.

The beauty spoke with hosts of the daytime show The Talk on Wednesday about the experience.

“It was challenging, but it was all in the preparation and I prepped as an actor first with my acting teacher. I spent about a year getting ready to direct… Working together with my team… we all knew what kind of movie we were trying to make… It was a magical thing because it kind of came together rather quickly and a lot of people came on board and I got to work with friends of mine and met friends. It was hard, but it was great.”

The 37-year-old actress and mother is now getting set to bring Rare Objects, by Kathleen Tessaro, to the big screen, which Katie will also direct. Additionally, Holmes is preparing to direct one of the episodes for the next season of the Kennedys mini series, as Xpose relays.

“It was really rewarding to have more creative control and it’s really exciting to play Jackie Kennedy,” she said. “She was a phenomenal woman.”

Holmes found fame as awkward teen Joey in the hit TV show Dawson’s Creek, but recently shared that it has been a longtime dream to get behind the camera, stating, “It’s taken a long time to take the risk. I feel fortunate because I have a wonderful support group around me.”

In addition to making headlines for her success in the entertainment industry, Katie has been hounded by media about a supposed secret romance between she and Collateral actor Jamie Fox. The two have kept fans and media members guessing as to whether their bond is really just a friendship, like both Katie and Jamie claim it to be. It seems, however, that with every denial by the two stars, an insider makes a claim that Holmes and Foxx actually are a couple, and have been for years now, but are keeping everything very hush hush.

The rumors swirled even more furiously just recently when claims were made that the secrecy was due to a supposed divorce agreement between Holmes and her ex-husband Tom Cruise, which meant that Katie was unable to date publicly until 2017. Engagement and marriage rumors followed, and obviously, pregnancy rumors came next. As it seems, all claims have been stamped out as false, and it’s clear that Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are done answering questions on the subject.

Part of her life that she is always happy to rave about is her adorable little one, Suri Cruise. Suri, the 10-year-old daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, is the love of Katie’s life that the world is always reminded about due to Holmes’ cute stories and the snaps she shares on social media. Recently, the director and actor shared that Suri has shown an interest in the entertainment industry and that the cutie was by her side for a portion of filming All We Had. Yahoo shares the star’s words about how her directorial debut is more about Suri than it is about her and reminds that she gave a shout out to the 10-year-old for her part in bringing the film to life.

“My daughter and I are very, very close. She helped me when I was preparing for it. We have a good time together. It’s more about her than me. It’s my first feature, and when she’s older, I thought it might mean something to her that, yeah, of course I thanked you. She’s my number one.”
