Michaels Store Worker Screamed At By Trump Fan Gets $18,055 GoFundMe – Chicago Peet’s Coffee Employee Faced Same Customer [Video]
The woman seen in the below video screaming at a Michaels store employees in Chicago, as reported by the Inquisitr, has gotten plenty of attention. On Sunday, November 27, the video had gotten 61,000 views on YouTube. As of Tuesday, November 29, the video was up to 2.1 million views on YouTube.
Apparently, it wasn’t the first time the woman had given Chicago service employees a hard time. According to Heavy and the Chicagoist, the same Trump-supporting woman appears in the below video, screaming at a Peet’s Coffee employee in July.
The Peet’s Coffee video reportedly took place at the Boystown location in Chicago — which is a nickname for an East Lakeview neighborhood. Whereas the Peet’s Coffee YouTube video that was embedded in articles by Heavy and other publications has been set to private, it is still available below, as of this writing, from the Crooks and Liars website. Just as in the Michaels viral video, the events that occurred prior to the videos beginning cannot be seen — so it’s not clear exactly what set the Trump fan off — but what is clear is that there is plenty of yelling.

The Trump-supporting woman’s video — showing her screaming at Michaels store employees — joins the below viral video of a Trump-supporting man who has been banned for life from Delta for the following display.

The Delta Air Lines ban for the Trump supporter, as reported by the New York Times?, was a rarity — but involved a mea culpa from the airlines over the passenger who yelled pro-Trump words and disparaging comments about Clinton supporters.
Folks on the flight were offered refunds and the airlines stated that the Trump-supporting man should not have been allowed back on the plane.
Meanwhile, the words of the Trump-supporting Michaels and Peet’s Coffee ranting customer are making the rounds online, as noted by the original description of the YouTube video, according to Chicagoist. The Peet’s Coffee video shows the woman bragging about her alleged $90,000 per year salary, in comparison to the salary of the Peet’s Coffee employee.
“You think because you’re in Boystown you’re safe?… Corporate’s not in Boystown. You’re the b****! You are the b****! You are literally the b****! The way [the employee] got in my face was not professional. I actually was afraid for my life. I can stereotype you, and call you something.”
Michaels responded to the Trump fan’s ranting by putting out a statement that read that they don’t condone such behavior, as reported by DNA Info.
“At Michaels, we do not tolerate discrimination or racism of any kind against our team members or customers. We regret that our customers and team members were affected by this unfortunate incident and are grateful for the leadership of our store team in working to resolve it without further escalation.”
A GoFundMe page started by Jessie Grady, the woman who filmed the Trump fan as she screamed at Michaels store employees and called two African-American women animals, has currently raised $18,055 — blowing way past the $400 goal intended to help the Michaels store employee, a mother of three, buy something nice for Christmas.
With more than $18,000 raised by 1,254 people in two days, the GoFundMe page contains a description that states Grady’s reasoning for starting the GoFundMe page for the Michaels employee — along with Jessie’s thankfulness to those who contributed.
“Thank you so much for helping me with this small gesture to thank this employee. I saw a hero and a leader in this manager. I was inspired by her. This incident started over a $1 [reusable] bag, but it’s not new for African-Americans and other POC. We have to stand up, if you can’t speak up, at least be a witness and share your story.”
