GooPad Mini? Chinese Device Manufacturer Has Already Ripped Off iPad Mini Design [Video]
The Apple iPad mini was announced just yesterday and a rip-off from the team at Goo has already surfaced.
The Chinese manufacturer of the GooPhone was quick to announce plans for the GooPad mini, an eight-inch tablet that looks very similar to the just-announced iPad mini.
The GooPad mini features a 1024 x 768 pixel display, a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 2 megapixel rear camera and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The device is listed on several websites with 16GB on-board memory that is easily expandable via MicroSDHC card up to 32GB.
The best part of the rip-off device? It will sell for a whopping $99, far below Apple’s premium iPad mini pricing of $329.
According to GizmoChina the GooPad mini will be released in November.
Comments on several tech websites seem to show a receptive audience for the rip-off device. Consumers appear to love the devices $99 price tag and its relatively power specs based on the cost of acquisition.
The GooPhone was met with relative success when it was release with its iPhone-esque design and Google Android powered OS.

While the GooPad Mini may look like the iPad Mini on the surface, it is more than likely fighting for its spot among other budget market tablets.
I can personally see the value in a budget Android tablet but I don’t know how much I trust the craftsmanship that goes into a product called “Goo.”
