Nick Groff developed his fascination with the paranormal after a near-death experience as a child. Later, he graduated from the University of Nevada with a B.A. in film, and in 2007, he was instrumental in writing, producing, and directing Ghost Adventures: The Original Documentary. He co-starred in the production, and the award-winning film kicked off the Ghost Adventures series on the Travel Channel. Groff served as an executive producer, co-host, and investigator on Seasons 1 through 10. He also wrote a book titled Chasing Spirits: The Building of the Ghost Adventures Crew.
Katrina Weidman appeared on A&E’s popular series Paranormal State, where she worked hundreds of cases and interviewed witnesses during the team’s investigations. She is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and began pursuing a career in paranormal research and investigation in 2006. She was with the Paranormal Research Society (PRS) from 2006-2011. Katrina also hosted Chiller Network’s Real Fear: the Truth Behind the Movies, where she and her team traveled across the country to examine the real-life stories behind some of the most iconic horror films, including Poltergeist, The Amityville Horror, and The Mothman Prophecies.
If the premiere episode of Paranormal Lockdown is any indication of how the rest of the Season 2 will go, then fans and new viewers of the show are in for some of the most frightening supernatural encounters ever experienced by any team of paranormal investigators. During the first investigation on this riveting season of Paranormal Lockdown, Nick and Katrina will search the eerie and very active Monroe House in Hartford City, Indiana, for evidence of the paranormal, and they will not be disappointed.

Besides strange occurrences and evidence of ritualistic occult activity, former residents and construction workers alike have fled the property after coming face to face with what they described as a dark entity. There is so much ghostly activity that the home has become uninhabitable. The reason behind the haunting is unknown, but deaths resulting from three fires over the last 100 years have not helped to dampen the paranormal activity.
From the moment Nick and Katrina step inside, the atmosphere is thick with paranormal activity, and it isn’t long before they discover that something or someone doesn’t want them to unravel the mystery inside the Monroe House. Pushing aside their fear and exhaustion, they continue on, and their intense investigation leads them to a crawl space beneath the home. When Nick decides to enter the crawl space alone, he has an intense, heart-pounding encounter with a very dark and negative energy. Later on Paranormal Lockdown, Nick and homeowner Eddie Norris discover what appears to be human skeletal remains buried under the crawl space, and law enforcement is called.
Other locales investigated by the pair in the 12-episode second season of Paranormal Lockdown will include the St. Ignatius Hospital in Colfax, Washington, and the Old Chatham County Jail in Savannah, Georgia, which are allowing investigations for the very first time. They will also be locked down in the Rampart Street Murder House in New Orleans, Louisiana; the White Hill Mansion in Fieldsboro, New Jersey; Shrewsbury Prison in England; the Shanley Hotel in Napanoch, New York; and the Statler City Hotel in Buffalo, New York.
Paranormal Lockdown is produced by Groff Entertainment for TLC. According to TV Insider, Paranormal Lockdown: Evidence Revealed will kick off the night with some of Nick and Katrina’s most hair-raising encounters from the first season on Friday, December 16 at 9 p.m. ET.
