Chelsea Handler Slams Angelina Jolie, Responds To Donald Trump’s Demand That ‘Hamilton’ Cast Apologize To Mike Pence
Chelsea Handler recently shared her thoughts on two very different stories that have been dominating the news cycle lately: Angelina Jolie’s divorce from Brad Pitt and Donald Trump’s allegation that the cast of Hamilton “harassed” Vice President-elect Mike Pence.
As Gossip Cop reports, Chelsea Handler is one of the many celebrities who have shared their thoughts about Donald Trump’s recent Twitter white-knighting of Mike Pence. Pence attended the popular Broadway play Hamilton on Friday night, and the cast of the musical decided to address the vice president-elect after the show by having Brandon Dixon, the actor who plays Aaron Burr, read a statement. According to USA Today, Dixon pointed out that America is a diverse country, and many of its citizens are anxious about Donald Trump’s administration. On behalf of these Americans, he asked Pence to “uphold our inalienable rights and work on behalf of all of us.”
The president-elect responded on Twitter by accusing the Hamilton cast of harassing Mike Pence, and he demanded an apology from the actors and actresses.
Our wonderful future V.P. Mike Pence was harassed last night at the theater by the cast of Hamilton, cameras blazing. This should not happen!

The Theater must always be a safe and special place. The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!

Chelsea Handler, a staunch Hillary Clinton supporter, responded to Donald Trump via Twitter. The comedienne often tweets jokes about the president-elect, but this time she took a more serious tone while addressing his behavior.
Can the president elect denounce all the terrible racism and hatred that is being seen throughout the country? Act like a president?

As Variety reports, Donald Trump’s presidential victory made Chelsea Handler break down in tears during a taping of her Netflix talk show. Handler had previously joked about leaving the country if Trump won the election, but she told her audience that moving to Spain would be taking the easy way out. She said that she wanted to encourage other women not to give up, and she felt that sexism played a part in Trump defeating Clinton. Handler specifically called out the women who did not vote for Hillary Clinton.
“We’ve got a problem with women supporting women and it needs to stop,” Handler later told Extra.
“We got to talk to people who have different opinions than us, and we have to be open-minded, we can’t be so judgmental, and women are rough on each other.”
However, there’s one woman Chelsea Handler just can’t resist being rough on: Angelina Jolie. According to Entertainment Tonight, Handler recently honored Angelina Jolie’s divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser, at a charity event for A Place Called Home (APCH). After lavishing Wasser with a little praise, Handler cracked a joke about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s divorce.
“She’s very dynamic, she’s very principled, and she’s a very accomplished human being,” Handler said. “And she’s such a humanitarian, that she’s currently negotiating Brad Pitt’s emancipation, so…”
APCH is a nonprofit that helps children, so Handler also mentioned Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s six kids.
“Speaking of children that need help… ” Handler quipped.
Chelsea Handler has a long history of verbally attacking Angelina Jolie. Handler is close friends with Brad Pitt’s ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, so this likely has something to do with her animosity toward the Oscar-winning actress. According to the Huffington Post, Handler has accused Angelina Jolie of being a “homewrecker,” and she called Jolie a “f**king c**t” and a “f**king b***h” during a 2010 comedy show. Chelsea Handler also responded to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s divorce by saying that Pitt was self-medicating because he “married a f**king lunatic.”
Chelsea Handler may have a hard time saying anything nice about Angelina Jolie, but she came pretty close to complimenting Donald Trump after meeting him in person, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
“I like tall men and I remember going, ‘You’re not nearly as disgusting as I thought you were.’ I almost was charmed,” Chelsea Handler said of the president-elect. “Almost. So he’s dangerous.”
