Ivanka Trump Jewelry: $10,800 Bracelet ‘Style Alert’ Ad From ’60 Minutes’ Interview Brings Controversy And Apology [Video]
Ivanka Trump appeared with her father, President-elect Donald Trump, in the following video from 60 Minutes. The full interview featured Ivanka wearing a bracelet that would have largely gone unnoticed if not for what happened after the interview. The controversy involved a “Style Alert” ad for a $10,800 Ivanka gold bracelet sent to some reporters in the wake of the interview.
It isn’t the first time that controversy has surrounded Ivanka because of her dad. As reported by the Inquisitr, Ivanka’s jewelry and clothing line experienced a boycott from people using the #Ivankant and #GrabYourWallet hashtags, vowing that they would never buy Ivanka’s merchandise again. The boycott arose following Stern’s interviews with Mr. Trump and Ivanka. During the chat, Stern called President-elect Trump a sexual predator and asked the then-24-year-old Ivanka if she was still a virgin.
According to the New York Times, their journalists received an email that included a “Style Alert,” as seen below, featuring the $10,800 Ivanka gold bracelet worn during the interview.

Such a move is being criticized by some people online, who call it a conflict of interest to use Mr. Trump’s first long-form 60 Minutes interview after being elected president as a forum to promote a $10,000 gold bracelet.
The “Style Alert” called the bracelet Ivanka’s favorite from her Metropolis collection of bracelets. As seen on Ivanka’s website, it is far from the most expensive bracelet available. Indeed, there is a Mixed Cut Diamond Cuff for $47,000.
The bracelet at hand — or at the wrist, as it were — is the Metropolis Diamond Bangle, which lists for $10,800. There is also a Metropolis Gold Bangle for $8,800 on Ivanka’s site, along with a Metropolis Narrow Diamond Bangle selling for $6,400, which appears in gold and silver versions.
The Metropolis Octagonal Link Diamond Bracelet sells for $5,900, whereas the Metropolis Sol Open Frame Cuff sells for less, at $5,200. Other bracelets in Ivanka’s Metropolis collection include the Metropolis Sol Open Frame Black Diamond Cuff, for $8,280, the Metropolis Sol IT Motif Diamond Bangle for $3,950, and the Metropolis Sol IT Motif Pave Diamond Bangle for an even $9,000.
Then there’s the Metropolis Sol Cuff for $3,950 and the Metropolis Sol IT Open Frame Diamond Cuff for $13,900. Last, but not lowest priced, is the Metropolis Sol IT Open Frame Cuff for $6,900.
The “Style Alert” for the bracelet priced at $10,800 caused controversy when it was shared en masse on social media and went viral.
As a result, an apology for the “Style Alert” was issued by Ivanka’s camp.
Trump’s company said sorry for the bracelet ad, as reported by the New York Daily News?.
Meanwhile, Ivanka is getting an earful about the bracelet on her Instagram and Facebook pages, as well as Twitter.
Some of the social media comments being published about the melee can be read below.
“Not many of us have 10 grand sitting around for a new bracelet….maybe after Mr. Trump builds the wall, lowers taxes and creates jobs we can all buy one…”
“We don’t want your expensive bracelets, Ivanka, nor to see you use the government to market your goods. You are clearly a business woman who cares only for your own profits. Please do not call yourself a feminist. You are clearly your father’s daughter, a business woman, not a woman who knows nor cares for people of lower income classes. Please do not use the American people by trying to get into the government to further your own pocket change.”
“Stop using your father’s candidacy to promote your business! We’re supposed to believe you when you say that running your father’s business will not be a conflict of interest? It already is. The Trumps will be right there next to the Clintons as the most hated political families!”
As seen in the top photo above, Ivanka arrived at Trump Tower in New York on Friday, November 11 wearing a gold bracelet.
