Marilu and Derek were eliminated last week, leaving the final five couples to move on to tonight’s semi-finals — Jana and Gleb, Laurie and Val, Terra and Sasha, Calvin and Lindsay, and James and Sharna (Jenna Johnson).
After missing two weeks due to a knee injury, pro dancer Sharna Burgess will be back on the dance floor this week to perform with her partner, James Hinchliffe. Sharna told E! Online that the “last two weeks were really tough,” but she is excited to be back for the semi-finals and hopes to take James to the finale.

Coming into this week’s semi-finals, both Jana (Gleb) and Laurie (Val) topped the leaderboard with 80 points each. Terra (Sasha) and Calvin (Lindsay) took second place with 74 points each, followed by James and his stand-in partner, Jenna, in last place with a score of 73.
Tonight, one couple will be eliminated, and there is speculation that Terra and Sasha will not make it to next week’s finale. Buddy TV’s John Kubicek notes that while Terra has “lots of support” from fans, she’s the only celebrity left who hasn’t received a perfect score from the judges.
“They had a good run, but when Laurie and Jana have perfect scores, it’s hard for me to see Terra being more popular than James or Calvin. Those two have been consistently great or improved while Terra has been a little more up and down.”
If Terra leaves tonight, who has the best chance of winning the Mirrorball trophy next week? Early on in the season, Vegas oddsmaker Bovada predicted that Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez would win, but James and Calvin have been strong contenders as well.
