Veterans Day means a day of honoring veterans and active military members — and that means plenty of freebies including free meals at restaurants and other deals those who served.
Those who served in any branch of the armed forces (active or retired) will be able to get free meals all day on November 11, with a growing number of restaurants offering totally free meals and some stores offering deep discounts and other sales on everything from haircuts to hotel stays.

Free Meals on Veterans Day
From breakfast, lunch, and dinner, there are enough free restaurant deals on Veterans Day 2016 to keep vets fed without having to open their wallet once. Here is a list of all the places vets can eat for free on Friday.

Applebee’s: A special menu of free meals for veterans, plus they get a $5 coupon that can be redeemed from Nov. 12 until the 27th.
LongHorn Steakhouse: Free appetizer or dessert plus a 10 percent discount on bills for veterans and their guests.
Fazoli’s: Free “Build Your Own Pasta Bowl.”
Chicken Salad Chick: Free Original Chick meal.
Outback Steakhouse: Free Bloomin’ Onion and drink, plus a 15 percent discount on bills for veterans and their families — and this Veterans Day 2016 freebie runs all the way through December 31.
Little Caesars: Free Hot-N-Ready lunch combo between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Denny’s: Free Build Your Own Grand Slam from 5 a.m. until noon.
IHOP: Free red, white, and blue pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Red Lobster: Free appetizer or dessert.
World of Beer: Free beer at participating locations (though veterans in a handful of states that outlaw free beer giveaways will get a $5 voucher instead).

Red Robin: Free Red’s Tavern Double Burger and bottomless steak fries.
Ruby Tuesday: Free appetizer (up to $10 value).
Buffalo Wild Wings: Free small boneless wings and fries.
Chipotle: Buy one get one free burrito, bowl, salad or tacos, from 3 p.m. until closing.
Chili’s: Free meal from a special Veterans Day 2016 menu.
Olive Garden: Free entree.

After all the free meals that active and former armed service members can find on Veterans Day 2016, they can also get everything from a haircut to a new gym membership to a trip to see football history.
