Veterans Day 2016 Free Meals And Food Freebies Offered At Major Restaurant Chains
Veterans Day 2016 free meals and food are back for past and present U.S. military personnel to take advantage of. Outback, Applebees, Olive Garden, IHOP, Golden Corral, and several others are showing their appreciation for those who’ve served their country.
Active duty and retired U.S. veterans are required to bring some form of military ID to receive the Veterans Day freebies. This can include a Military ID Card (active/reserve/retired), VA ID card, current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), Drivers License with Veterans residence, photo in uniform, wearing a uniform, Veterans Organization Card (American Legion and VFW, for instance), DD214, discharge papers, or other forms of service identification.

Time and Stars and Stripes revealed a long list of restaurants offering Veterans Day free meals at participating locations. Many of the freebies available to retired and active duty military members are mentioned here.
Restaurants offering Veterans Day 2016 free meals and other freebies
Applebees: A choice of seven different free meals are available to military personnel on Veterans Day; they will also receive a $5 coupon valid from November 12 to 27.
Ben’s Soft Pretzels: Free Jumbo Soft Pretzel offered as a Veterans Day freebie on November 11.
BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse: Free entrée valued up to $12.95 on November 11.
Bob Evans: Free breakfast, served all day on Veterans Day, and a special offer of 10 percent off your bill for future visits anytime through the end of the year.
Bonefish Grill: Free order of Bang Bang Shrimp on November 11.
Boston Market: Active or retired military members can get a free brownie or cookie with any purchase on November 11. No ID is required and the Veterans Day freebie offer extends to family.
Chipotle: Buy one get one free when a burrito, bowl, salad, or order of tacos is ordered. Offer valid from 3 p.m. until closing on Veterans Day.
Cracker Barrel: All military members get a Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake free on November 11.
Denny’s: Complimentary Build Your Own Grand Slam breakfast on Veterans Day from 5 a.m. until noon.
Golden Corral: The restaurant is hosting a Military Appreciation Night from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, November 14. Military members get a free meal.
Hooters: Free entrée offered to military members with choices that include 10-piece wings, Hooters Burger, and Buffalo Chicken Salad.
Houlihan’s: Military service members get a free entrée (value up to $15) when another entrée is purchased.
IHOP: Free order of red, white, and blue pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Veterans Day. Pancakes are served with strawberries (red), whipped cream (white), and blueberry compote (blue). Select locations are providing alternate free meals that include a combo order of two eggs, hash browns, and choice of two bacon strips or pork.
McCormick & Schmick’s: Military members and Gold Star honorees, including parents and spouses of active-duty personnel, are offered free entrées that consist of salmon rigatoni and tender beef medallions on Sunday, November 6.

Olive Garden: Free meal from select menu items on Veterans Day.
On the Border: Choice of free combo meals on November 11.
Outback Steakhouse: Free Bloomin’ Onion and a beverage on Nov. 11. Outback extends an offer to all military members with a 15 percent off discount off their meals between November 12 and December 31.
Shoney’s: Military members get a free All-American Burger on Veterans Day.
Red Lobster: Free appetizer or dessert on November 10 and 11 for military personnel.
Red Robin: Free Red’s Tavern Double Burger in addition to unlimited steak fries on November 11.
Ruby Tuesday: Free appetizer (value up to $10) on Veterans Day.
Sizzler: Free lunch for retired and active duty military personnel that include a choice of three entrées and coffee, tea, or fountain drink. Offer on November 11 valid until 4 p.m.
Spaghetti Warehouse: Buy one entrée and get the second entrée free of lasagna or spaghetti. Coupon required. Offer valid November 11 through 13.
Texas Roadhouse: Free lunch on Veterans Day. 10 menu options are offered that range from pulled pork sandwich to sirloin steak.
TGI Fridays: Lunch menu item worth up to $12, free of charge to military members from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on November 11.
Twin Peaks: Free menu item to vets and active-duty military on Veterans Day.
Wayback Burgers: Get a free Wayback Cheeseburger, on November 11 with the purchase of any side and a drink.
White Castle: Free breakfast combo or Castle combo meal on Nov. 11.
Wienerschnitzel: Free chili dog meal (with small fries and 20-ounce drink) on Veterans Day.
Yard House: Free appetizer on November 11.
