‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: Will Daryl Become One Of Negan’s Saviors In Season 7?

The Walking Dead Season 7 is diving deeper into exploring other survivor communities beyond Rick’s group at Alexandria. In the second episode of the season fans met King Ezekiel and the people of The Kingdom, and in Episode 3, viewers got to see inside The Sanctuary where Negan and his Saviors reside. Fans also got their first glimpse of Daryl since the shocking Season 7 premiere.

According to the International Business Times, Daryl is prison both physically and mentally. Negan and The Saviors are keeping the fan favorite Walking Dead character in a tiny cell and torturing him with their words, images, and choice in music, but nothing could be worse than the torture that Daryl is putting himself through. Daryl feels responsible for Glenn’s death, and he’s got all the time in the world to think about that while locked away in The Sanctuary.

While in his cell, Daryl is fed dog food sandwiches and forced to listen to the same song over and over again. However, he is being kept alive. This is because Negan thinks Daryl would make a great addition to The Saviors. Negan is trying to break Daryl in order to get him to join forces with him and do his bidding. Walking Dead fans watched as it was revealed that Dwight and the people at The Sanctuary seem to be living pretty well. They have plenty of food to eat, alcohol to drink, and entertainment to help them pass the time. However, they are ruled by Negan’s iron fist, and forced to bow down to him whenever he enters a room. Negan has seemed to break the spirit of every one of his Saviors, and fans are worried that Daryl could be next.

As many Walking Dead fans know, Negan is an expert at playing with people’s minds. Viewers have seen him break down Rick and Dwight, two very strong-willed men, and Daryl could be his next victim. It seems that Mr. Dixon may have only three choices in his current situation.

Daryl could decide to keep fighting Negan and his torture tactics, which would likely end up with Daryl being killed by Negan and The Saviors. This would be heartbreaking for Walking Dead fans who are still reeling from the deaths of Glenn Rhee and Abraham Ford. Daryl could actually fall in line with Negan’s system and work for him at The Sanctuary like Dwight and the others do, or he could pretend to be on board with Negan. If Daryl pretends to be one of The Saviors then he could gather a lot of intel on how The Sanctuary works. He could also find out more about Negan, and possibly discover some of his weaknesses. This would come in handy if Daryl ever wanted to escape and return to Rick and the group in Alexandria in hopes of taking Negan down for good.

During next week’s extended 90-minute episode of The Walking Dead, Negan will make his first visit to Alexandria. This will be the first time that the group has seen him since he brutally killed Glenn and Abraham. Rick will be forced to succumb to Negan’s will yet again, and feel totally emasculated by the leader of The Saviors. Rick will likely ask about Daryl, and Negan should have some very interesting things to say about him. Perhaps this is when viewers will get their answer on what Daryl has decided to do. Hopefully, Daryl can make it through Season 7 to try and fight off Negan’s advances.
