Selena Gomez ‘Cheered Up’ By Jennifer Aniston: Both Feel ‘Awful’ Caught In Brad Pitt Drama

Selena Gomez is 24, famed as a pop music princess, while Jennifer Aniston is 47, known as an actress since her days on Friends. But despite the difference in their ages and backgrounds, the two formed a fast friendship soon after meeting. Both Aniston and Gomez also recently found themselves caught in the spotlight shining on Brad Pitt’s divorce, tangled in rumors that each had some sort of involvement with Brad. Consequently, when Jennifer learned that Selena was in rehab, she reportedly visited her pal in the treatment facility and offered her empathy.

Since checking into rehab, Selena has posed, smiling, with fans. But “nothing made her happier than when” Aniston showed up to visit the “Kill ‘Em With Kindness” singer, OK magazine told readers.

Although Gomez is permitted only “a limited number of visitors a day,” she received a delightful surprise when Jennifer appeared, according to a source cited by OK.

“Selena’s been going through hell with anxiety and depression over her lupus and [Aniston] wanted to let her know everyone is rooting for her.”

In addition, Jennifer’s goal of lifting up the spirits of the 24-year-old reportedly succeeded.

“Seeing Jen was exactly what Selena needed…she really cheered her up,” added the insider.

The singer’s Twitter fans shared the news about Jennifer’s visit to their pop princess, who even shared a photo of herself with Aniston on Instagram months ago, which is when they first met and became friends.

During her visit, Jennifer gave Selena a card, which was signed by all their friends, an insider told Now magazine. Aniston knows how it feels to be tangled in the drama of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (known as Brangelina), and she recognizes that Gomez is “feeling awful” being trapped in the drama as well, added the source.

“[Jennifer is] incredibly supportive of Selena and knows she must be feeling awful, getting caught up in the Brangelina divorce drama.”

The visit from Aniston “was exactly what Selena needed,” noted the insider, who described Jennifer as “so funny and sweet.” The two first met in December 2014, through Gomez’s management team, and the singer revealed that Aniston immediately invited her to her home.

“She has a pizza oven. Like, we’ve made pizzas at her house,” gushed the singer. “She’s very cool and very sweet. She kind of gives me a lot of maternal advice.”

As for whether Jennifer offered her friend advice on how to deal with getting tangled in Brangelina’s divorce isn’t known, but both keep getting featured in reports about the drama. Selena has been involved because of rumors that Brad “had been flirting with her when the two met at the Golden Globe Awards,” Now magazine clarified.

A photo that Gomez shared on Instagram months ago showed her with Pitt chatting after the 2016 Golden Globes. But that picture was enough to get the rumor mill churning out reports that the sight of the singer with Brad caused problems in his marriage, pointed out Teen Vogue.

Aniston also has been tangled up in rumors that she’s somehow involved with Pitt, even though she is currently married to Justin Theroux.

Despite the most recent report, which claims that her marriage is threatened because of her alleged “obsession” with Brad, however, Aniston remains “unaffected” by Brangelina, according to Gossip Cop.

The media outlet denied a claim from Radar Online that Jennifer and Justin are “at war over Brangelina,” which also alleged that Theroux “is getting sick of Aniston’s ongoing fascination with her ex.” However, Gossip Cop told readers that Jennifer and Justin “have no intention of divorcing,” and Pitt’s divorce has not caused any stress in their relationship.

But Theroux’s recent social media post just provided new ammunition for those speculating that his relationship with Aniston is affected by Brangelina. Fans went wild when Justin seemed to be throwing subtle shade at Jennifer’s ex on Instagram, noted Hollywood Life.

Sharp-eyed fans went on high alert after Theroux shared a statement about the election that included a wall with graffiti with a message “f*** Brad Pitt.” Some of his followers posted comments on Instagram questioning Justin about whether he was targeting Brad.

“Throwing some shade are we??” asked one.

Theroux appeared to respond on his Instagram page.

“#andNOthispostisNOT’shading’anyonebecauseimnotelevemyearsoldimeanseriously,” read Justin’s unusually long hashtag.
