Selena Gomez’s Family Wants Justin Bieber To Stay Far, Far Away Amid Sofia Richie Rumors [Report]

Selena Gomez’s family reportedly wants Justin Bieber to stay far, far away from the 24-year-old singer as she fights back against symptoms of Lupus in rehab.

Although Selena Gomez and her ex-boyfriend haven’t been seen together for several months, rumors have been swirling in regard to a potential reconciliation and her family wants to prevent any such thing.

Selena Gomez’s family “recently reached out to Justin and told him to stay far, far away,” a source explained, according to a report by The Hollywood Gossip on October 27. “They told him he’s banned from calling, texting, emailing, or visiting her.”

Selena Gomez’s family “blames Justin for much of her downward spiral,” the source added.

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were involved in a messy Instagram feud in August after the 22-year-old posted a photo of himself and then-girlfriend Sofia Richie in Japan and called out fans for being mean to her.

“If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol — it should be special between you two only. Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you,” Selena Gomez wrote to Bieber in response to his threat of making his account private.

After seeing Selena Gomez’s recommendation, Bieber quickly fired back and suggested Gomez was using him to get the spotlight on herself. In response, Selena Gomez casually reminded Bieber that it was she who forgave him after he cheated on her “multiple” times during their relationship. But Bieber didn’t back down and shockingly suggested it was Gomez who cheated on him with former One Direction singer Zayn Malik, the current boyfriend of model Gigi Hadid.

In the end, it was Selena Gomez who chose to release a statement of apology, which read, “What I said was selfish and pointless.”

Selena Gomez is also believed to have reached out directly to Bieber, but unfortunately, he wasn’t having it and the following month, insiders claimed Gomez was blaming him for her emotional struggles, which she noted as anxiety, depression, and panic attacks.

“[Selena Gomez] lost it,” a source said. “She can be fragile emotionally and Justin is a major factor.”

As for Bieber and Richie, they reportedly ended their hookup relationship last month after enjoying one another romantically for just six weeks. Since then, however, they allegedly united at a nightclub in London and quickly sparked reunion rumors.

“Sofia and Justin are not back together, and they never were an official couple,” an insider explained to E! News. “They just hooked up and were close friends.”

Sofia and Justin remain “close friends,” but they’re not hooking up anymore.

“Sofia is still kind of annoyed at how Justin handled a few things, but they still communicate,” the insider added. “They haven’t hooked up in a minute. Sofia is chill with the whole situation and not ruling out future possibilities with Justin, but as of this second nothing is happening.”

Selena Gomez’s ex-boyfriend traveled to Europe last month to tend to his Purpose World Tour, which continues for the next few months, and at that point, a source hinted that he and Richie may reconcile in the future.

“They are still friends though and will continue to see each other like they did before they were dating,” our insider shared. “They are taking a backseat though on the romance side of things and just focusing on being friends at this time.”
