‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Alison Sweeney Returning As Sami Brady?

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that a fan favorite character is on their way back to Salem. A new blind item has just been released teasing the return of a Salem favorite, who making their way home for a very special occasion.

According to Soap Hub, the fan favorite character will be making a “quick return for a special event,” and that fans should be “very happy” with the homecoming. While the report doesn’t reveal which Days of Our Lives character is coming home, fans are speculating that it will be Alison Sweeney’s Sami Brady.

The secret return comes after news that more members of the Brady family are headed back to Salem as well. Carrie Brady and her husband Austin Reed are confirmed to return home. Sami’s twin brother, Eric Brady, who is currently in prison for driving drunk and causing the car accident that killed Dr. Daniel Jonas, is also on his way back. If Sami Brady is the character coming home, fans will be thrilled to see her again.

As Days of Our Lives viewers know, Sami left Salem not long after her husband, EJ DiMera, was killed. Sami packed up her children and headed to California, where she seemed to be thriving. However, last fall Sami returned home to attend the funeral of her oldest son, Will Horton, and found something incredible. Sami received a message that EJ had written to her before his death. In the message was instructions on how to take down the DiMera family by getting her hands on all of their money. Sami decided to use EJ’s message and take the money from her late husband’s family. She also felt that EJ may still somehow be alive. This storyline never really went anywhere, but fans are hopeful that one day both Sami and EJ will return to Salem for good.

Meanwhile, if Sami is returning, it is said to be for a very special event. This will likely be the wedding of her mother, Marlena Evans and John Black. John and Marlena have been married countless times over the years, and are currently living together although they’ve divorced. The two are very much in love and can’t wait to make it official yet again. It seems that all the members of the Evans/Brady/Black family will be home to celebrate with John and Marlena on their special day. This will be the first time in a very long time that Sami and her siblings would be reunited at once.

Alison Sweeney has made no secret about the fact that she loves Days of Our Lives. The actress revealed to fans that she would make a return to the NBC soap opera whenever she could for things such as holidays and special occasions. This is even more evidence that Sami Brady will be popping up on Salem in the near future.

Meanwhile, before John and Marlena can be happily married they need to deal with their current crisis. Their old enemy, Orpheus, along with his new friends Xander Cook and Clyde Weston, have broken out of prison and are currently wreaking havoc on Salem citizens. The trio have already kidnapped Joey and Claire and shot Abe Carver. While nobody has died at their hands yet, rumors are buzzing that one of them may kill Aiden Jennings, and that the character will be leaving Salem for good.

With so many beloved characters on the move back to Salem, Days of Our Lives fans are sure to be seeing some very happy reunions in the future, which could, in turn, boost ratings for the soap.
