Rosie O’Donnell Offers To Buy A House For Honey Boo Boo And Family

Rosie O’Donnell wants to help out Honey Boo Boo and the youngster’s family in a big way — by offering to buy a house for the clan.

In an interview with People, Rosie said she’s a big fan of the reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and can even do a perfect impression of Mama June. Her affection for the show and the family goes far beyond most other viewers, as the comedian and former TV host wants to help out Honey Boo Boo and family in a big way.

“I’d love to meet them,” Rosie O’Donnell says, “And buy them a house.”

The offer, whether sincere or not, would certainly be a big help for the family. Their home in McIntyre, Georgia has railroad tracks running through the backyard, not the best or safest environment, especially for a child as energetic as Alana.

Even if the offer is something of a joke, it appears Rosie O’Donnell’s love for the family is definitely sincere.

“I love Mama June. I love Sugar Bear. I love Chubbs,” she said, referring to some of the family members by their nicknames. “I love ’em all.”

Rosie O’Donnell saved some of her biggest praise for the star, 7-year-old Alana Thompson, affectionately referred to by the family as Honey Boo Boo. Rosie compared her to the pinnacle of child stars, Shirley Temple, and said that Alana has “a presence and an intellect that goes way beyond her years.”

Honey Boo Boo and her family may not need Rosie O’Donnell’s help if they want a new house. As The Hollywood Reporter noted, the family is seeking a raise for their next season and wants $10,000 per episode.
