Married At First Sight Season 4 returns with an all-new episode this Tuesday, titled “To Love and to Cherish.” According to the official synopsis and latest spoilers, Episode 11 will see the three couples learn about “the importance of trust” in relationships.
Looking at the sneak peek clip for the next episode of Married At First Sight Season 4, it seems like things are going to get even worse for Nick Pendergrast and Sonia Granados. Nick and Sonia both admitted that they had no idea where their relationship is headed. While they are both willing to give their marriage another shot, Sonia told Nick that she has not forgotten the way he treated her.
“I don’t think you fully understood how much you hurt me,” she told Nick.
“Yeah, I made a mistake and I apologized for that,” he replied.

During the “In Sickness and in Health” episode, Nick lashed out at Sonia for repeatedly asking him to open up. Rather than talking about their feelings all the time, Nick believed that they should just have fun and spend more time getting to know about each other. Knowing Sonia for just three weeks, Nick is still uncomfortable sharing his life with her. Even if Sonia has been very vocal about wanting more intimacy in their relationship, Nick believed that they needed to take things slow.
“We haven’t had sex yet because I haven’t known this person for too long. I don’t want to jump the gun. I think we’re both figuring each other out. When I can tell that she’s comfortable, that’s when I’ll be comfortable enough to, you know, make the move,” he explained.
Later in the MAFS episode, Nick, however, claimed the reason why their relationship is not working out is because the experts may have matched them incorrectly . He pointed out that if they were, in fact, compatible with each other they should not have to work so hard to make the marriage work.
“My own expectation was that we were going to get along and that they matched us correctly and it was going to be f**king flowers and rose fields, and it’s not! You shouldn’t have to work at anything! There should be no f**king effort involved, you should just match. It doesn’t make sense.”
Nick added that he is done with the social experiment, saying that he is no longer attracted to Sonia. While he found her beautiful during their wedding, Nick said that the attraction waned over time.
“I’m f**king checked out. I’m f**cking over it. I don’t want to be attracted to her at this point. I don’t even want to try to be attracted to her anymore. I don’t have feelings for her at all,” he told the cameras.
With all the drama surrounding that Married At First Sight Season 4 episode, some fans thought that it would be the end for Nick and Sonia. Some predicted that they will be the next couple to get a divorce after Derek Schwartz and Heather Seidel. After speaking to MAFS expert Pastor Calvin Roberson, the two decided to give the social experiment another chance.

In an interview with Jamie Otis on Married At First Sight: Unfiltered, Nick, however, revealed that he can see eventually see himself getting attracted to Sonia after all.
“I can see [the attraction] developing and that’s the whole premise of talking with the experts in the beginning. You become more attracted to someone as you get to know them… As we’re going through this process and I’m learning more about her, yes, I’m becoming more attracted to her, to Sonia.”
