Jackie Christie’s Daughter Ta’Kari Opens A GoFundMe After Her Son Is Badly Burned, ‘Basketball Wives LA’ Star Has Not Stepped Up To Donate

It’s no secret that Jackie Christie and her oldest daughter, Ta’Kari Christie Lee, have a strained relationship. Ta’Kari is the only Christie kid who hasn’t been seen on Basketball Wives LA. It was recently revealed that Ta’Kari is going through some hardships with her family after her infant son was badly burned in an accident at his daycare center. Now, Jackie’s estranged daughter is looking for financial help via a GoFundMe account, and her own mom hasn’t stepped up to help at all.

Ta’Kari is Jackie Christie’s daughter from a relationship before Doug Christie was in the picture. The eldest of her daughters took the Christie name and has said in the past that Doug is the only dad she’s really known since he started coming around when she was 3- or 4-years-old. Ta’Kari has also said that when her relationship with Jackie went south, Doug also distanced himself from her, and now she doesn’t have anything to do with either one of them. Ta’Kari stopped living with Jackie and Doug when she was much younger and instead was raised by her grandmother.

Despite the family issues, Jackie Christie is still her mother and she’s still the grandmother of Jaxson, who not only favors Jackie but who also needs round-the-clock care right now. Jaxson was injured in a daycare accident that left the baby badly burned. The adorable 8-month-old has to go to Harborview Medical Center’s burn unit at least once a week for treatment, and his medical needs have left Ta’Kari unable to work. It should be noted that the GoFundMe page was started by LaShawn Johnson on behalf of Ta’Kari and not by her directly.

According to Fameolous, Jaxson’s injuries were caused by a bottle warmer at the daycare where he was taken care of. It’s unclear if the baby will be heading back to the same daycare when he recovers, but based on some comments she made on Facebook, it’s looking like that won’t be the case. Ta’Kari commented on Jaxson’s accident, wondering why the bottle warmers were in the room with the babies when the center itself had a huge kitchen where supplies like that could have safely been kept. Jaxson’s mom did say that they were hiring an investigator to get more details on the accident that burned her baby son.

It seems that Jackie Christie could use some of that Basketball Wives LA money to help her daughter and her infant grandson through this horrendous time, but it looks like she has completely ignored the accident and her own family. So far, Jackie hasn’t donated to the GoFundMe account, and she hasn’t made any comment on her oldest daughter or Jaxson on social media. Likewise, Ta’Kari also hasn’t commented on Jackie or Doug in the time since Jaxson’s accident.

Ta’Kari has been putting Jackie Christie on blast since Basketball Wives LA started. Back in 2011, she was preparing a tell-all book about her life where many of Jackie’s secrets were going to be exposed. She claims that while Jackie was living it up as a rich NBA wife, Ta’Kari was left to struggle with her grandmother and got no help and very little contact with her mom throughout most of her childhood.

According to an older report from Tattletailzz, Ta’Kari even claims that Jackie and her lawyers made up stories that her eldest daughter had waged death threats against her in order to make Ta’Kari go away for good. It looks like Jackie may have been successful too because Ta’Kari’s book was never released.
