Is Brad Pitt Entering Rehab After Allegations Of Alcohol Use, Weed Smoking, And Child Abuse?
Is Brad Pitt getting treatment for alcohol and drug use following his wife Angelina Jolie’s divorce filing and abuse claims?
Over the weekend, a report claimed the 52-year-old actor was ready to go to rehab in hopes of winning Jolie back and convincing her to stay married.
“[Brad Pitt] is allegedly vowing to get sober and is hoping this will make Angie reconsider leaving him,” a source told Hollywood Life on September 24. “He’s even allegedly saying he’ll go to rehab and she doesn’t have to agree to take him back until he has 90 days sober, so she knows it’s not just a fleeting commitment.”
In Angelina Jolie’s divorce papers against Brad Pitt, the actress, 41, requested full physical custody of their six children and suggested her husband may be struggling with substance abuse. Although Hollywood Life noted at the extent of Pitt’s alleged problem hasn’t been explained, an incident which reportedly took place while Pitt was drunk is what was said to have prompted Jolie to divorce her husband after two years of marriage.
According to the report, Pitt and Jolie were aboard a trans-Atlantic flight with their six kids, including Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and Vivienne and Knox, 8, when Pitt allegedly “lunged” at son Maddox and “connected” with him in some way.

Although sources close to Brad Pitt have denied his alleged “anger problems” and substance abuse struggles, the actor is currently under investigation for child abuse, which certainly isn’t going to make it any easier for him to gain joint custody of his and Jolie’s children. That said, he is reportedly willing to make a change in his life and get clean for the sake of his marriage and his family.
“[Brad Pitt] knows so much of their issues have to do with his drinking and pot smoking, and he’s reportedly swearing that if he gets clean, their marriage will be great again,” the Hollywood Life source claimed.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were married for two years before Jolie filed for divorce.
In response to Hollywood Life‘s report regarding Brad Pitt’s possibly impending stint in rehab, a source told Gossip Cop the claims were “totally false” and that “no such discussions ever happened.”

According to a second report, Brad Pitt is hoping to have his wife’s family help with a potential reunion between him and Jolie.
“Brad [Pitt] has made an effort to make contact and is keen to try and improve the situation between them,” an insider told the Daily Mirror. “He’s hoping his good relationship with Angelina [Jolie]’s family will help to build bridges. He’s spoken to her dad Jon [Voight] and hopes he may be able to play peacemaker. It’s a very tricky time for the family but Brad hasn’t given up hope yet.”
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie infamously fell in love on the set of 2005’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Although Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston at the time, he and Jolie hit it off and in spring of 2005, they went public with their romance in Kenya just weeks after Aniston filed documents to end their marriage.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s romance was highly controversial when they went public but years later, they were believed to be one of the rare successful marriages in Hollywood. Unfortunately, that belief has now been brought to an abrupt end as Pitt and Jolie’s divorce continues to face ongoing rumors of drug use, child abuse, and affairs.
