CW Shows Making Their Appearance
Finally, the latest seasons of popular CW shows are coming to Netflix. This is the biggest news for October 2016, as fans have been desperate to find out when the likes of The Flash Season 2 and Arrow Season 4 are coming to the streaming service. The Inquisitr recently shared potential dates for some shows and wasn’t too far off with most of them.
The Flash Season 2 is on Netflix beginning October 4, the same date as the Season 3 premiere on the CW. Arrow Season 4 will follow the next day, as predicted earlier this year. iZombie Season 2 will follow on October 6, with Supernatural Season 11 on Netflix on October 7, a week earlier than expected.
The Vampire Diaries Season 7 is on Netflix also earlier than anticipated, with a release date of October 8. The Originals Season 3 will be available on the same day. This was a debated one considering Season 4 won’t premiere until at least January of 2017.
Fans of Legends of Tomorrow will need to wait an extra week. Season 1 will reach Netflix on October 13. Canceled summer CW show Containment will come to Netflix on October 21, the premiere date of Julie Plec’s final season of The Vampire Diaries.
Netflix Originals To Look Out For
There will be plenty of Netflix Originals coming to the streaming service in October. Apart from Supernatural Season 11, all shows coming to Netflix on October 7 are Netflix Originals. They include The Ranch Season 2, Part 1 and Dinotrux Season 3.
Kuromukuro Season 2 reaches the service on Canada’s Thanksgiving Day, October 10, and that is followed my Mascots on October 13 and Haters Back Off! Season 1 on October 14. Glitch Season 1 follows the next day with Black Mirror Season 3, Part 1 on October 21. Containment is the only non-Netflix Original available from October 21 on the service, and October 28-31 has only Netflix Originals.
A special mention that isn’t Netflix Original is American Horror Story: Hotel (Season 5 of the show) is available from October 4.
Catch ‘Em Before They Go
As with every month, there are shows and movies leaving Netflix. This is your chance to catch them before they go. Nobody knows when or if they will return.
The Back to the Future trilogy will leave Netflix from the start of the month, along with the whole of Heroes and Psych. The Exorcist and Erin Brockovich will also be gone. October 20 will see the removal of Marvel’s Avengers Assemble Season 2, with Redemption leaving on October 24 and The Interview leaving a day later. The Truman Show is the last to exit the service on Halloween.
Some of these movies and shows may come back in the future, but do you really want to risk it? You have just over a week to watch some of them, plenty of time to catch the Back to the Future franchise one more time. However, you may not have enough time to binge watch Psyche. USA Today has a full list of all the movies and TV shows coming to and leaving Netflix this October.
