Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt Living Separate Lives, Facing $400 Million Divorce?
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt rank as one of the most famous couples in the world, with high profile careers in the entertainment world and a flock of fabulous children. But rumors persist that Jolie and Pitt are having problems in their marriage, with a new report claiming that the two are leading separate lives. Is her focus on humanitarian work and his attention to creating a luxury resort causing their marriage to crumble, with a $400 million divorce waiting in the wings?

Brad recently spent time visiting the area where he proposes to develop a hotel, located in the coastal town of Zablace, according to Conde Nast Traveler.
Pitt already wears the hats of actor, producer and activist, but now he’s plunging into the duties of a hotelier via the proposal for a luxury resort in Croatia. Features will include a hotel, villas, restaurants, shops and a golf course, with the project estimated at more than $1.5 billion. Angelina’s multi-tasking husband plans to create a community that is modern yet planned with attention to ecological concerns.
The “Barabriga” project already has an investment of $70 million from the Swiss-based fund TFI Holding. Accompanying Brad on a tour of the area where he plans to build his vision, architect Nikola Baši? revealed that the actor views Croatia as “the most beautiful country he has ever visited.”
This isn’t Pitt’s first effort to re-create himself as a developer with an interest in architecture. The actor also has helped others via his Make It Right foundation, which resulted in over 100 new houses by famous architects in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. In the same charitable vein, he is reported to have included the creation of a clinic and schools in his Croatian project in order to provide help for residents in that area.
While Brad focuses on that project, Jolie is investing her time and energy into a variety of humanitarian causes, including refugee camps.

Us Weekly noted that in discussing her visit to a refugee camp, Angelina referred to her flock of six kids.
Talking with reports during her visit to a Syrian refugee camp in Jordan this month, Jolie commented on the children and teens whose lives revolve around the camp.
“There are children here who remember no other life than this harsh, desert environment and barbed wire fences. There are teens here who bear terrible mental and physical wounds of the conflict. … Over half of all the refugees in Jordan are under 18. My own children are of that age,” pointed out Angelina.
“It is impossible for me to imagine what it would be like for my own children in this situation. And it breaks my heart.”
Jolie and her husband’s offspring range in age from Maddox, 15, through Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8. If claims of a divorce in the works are true, how would they be impacted?

The In Touch story claims that the couple is heading for a “$400 million divorce,” with Jolie and Pitt living separate lives because of alleged problems that include everything from cheating claims to jealousy to yelling at each other. One fight reportedly occurred when the actor decided to go on holiday in Croatia with pals rather than devote the final days of summer to his wife and children.
In Touch‘s source described Jolie’s reaction after his alleged refusal.
“As Brad headed out the door, Angelina was in tears, truly feeling she’d lost Brad once and for all.”
That insider also described the marriage as “broken,” claiming that the couple’s “$400 million divorce is underway.” Allegations include Jolie feeling suspicious about Pitt’s relationship with a co-star, Marion Cotillard, with Angelina reportedly upset that her husband is “acting single,” as well as fights centered on their careers and her health.
Gossip Cop‘s source, however, reported that there is “no truth” to those claims.
