WWE News: Brock Lesnar Could Fight Goldberg At ‘WrestleMania 33’ [Video]
The latest WWE news about Brock Lesnar’s rematch against Randy Orton has all the fans of wrestling buzzing about the next phase of Lesnar’s career. But, there’s one wrestling legend who would prefer that Lesnar goes away for good.
According to The Big Lead, the latest WWE news about Lesnar’s impending return to the ring has been marred by a recent interview with wrestling legend Bill Goldberg, who’s been meaning to return to the ring but never seems to get around to it. The site shows a video of the wrestling legend being interviewed, wherein he’s asked when he’ll finally make his return to the ring. In response, Goldberg rips up, then blows his nose, into a Brock Lesnar shirt. You can see the interview here.
Goldberg then calls out Brock Lesnar as “next.”
So, what does all of this mean? Well, according to the site, they’re suggesting that this interview marks the beginning of Goldberg’s long-awaited official return to the WWE. Even though Goldberg has a contentious history with the organization, the question is, who in the WWE doesn’t, or didn’t, have an issue with the McMahon clan at one point or another?
Besides, WWE CEO Vince McMahon has made a career out of making peace with his enemies, especially if that “peace” comes in the form of improved business for the WWE. No doubt that McMahon realizes that Goldberg’s return to the ring can only mean good news for the company, dollars and cents wise.

Other WWE news reports suggest that this not-so-happy reunion between Goldberg and Lesnar will happen during WrestleMania 33. Fox News is reporting that many hints have been dropped about this very match, especially by Lesnar, whom Fox News believes is hinting at Goldberg’s return during WrestleMania 33 on his social media sites. In particular, the Tweet above shows Lesnar on the cover of the 2k17 WWE game, which also features Goldberg on the cover if you pre-order it. And even though Goldberg is nearly 50 years old, making him one of the oldest wrestlers to ever return to the ring to fight, he’s still in fighting shape.
However, because of Goldberg’s advanced age, there’s definitely some concern about his ability to perform against Lesnar. And given that Lesnar has demonstrated his propensity for blood-drawing violence in his fight against Randy Orton, there’s a legitimate fear that he’ll do the same to Goldberg regardless of the consequences and the end result will be a lot more tragic for the wrestling legend.

Still, other WWE news suggests that before Brock Lesnar and Goldberg can get in the ring, Lesnar is going to have to face off against Shane McMahon, who is still holding a grudge against the former UFC fighter thanks to the Randy Orton fiasco.
According to Forbes, even though Lesnar and Orton are due to rematch on September 24, Lesnar is going to have to answer to McMahon sooner or later. Forbes predicts that the two wrestlers will most likely face off during the Royal Rumble. It would make the most financial sense to be at the Royal Rumble, but there’s also talk about McMahon actually enlisting Goldberg to fight Lesnar on his behalf at WrestleMania 33. While the latter option seems unlikely — especially given Goldberg’s questionable history with the McMahon’s — it would certainly add an additional, and interesting, layer to the Brock Lesnar story line.
