Adam Levine And Miley Cyrus ‘At War’ On ‘The Voice’
Adam Levine has a new rivalry on The Voice.
An inside source revealed to Radar Online that Levine can’t stop fighting with Miley Cyrus while filming for the new season is currently underway. Their fighting has gotten so bad that Levine and Cyrus are practically at war when the cameras stop rolling.
“Adam and Miley are at each other’s throats this season and Adam acts like he cannot stand her,” the insider told the outlet. “He does not talk to her when the cameras are not rolling, and seems like he really wants nothing to do with her.”
Levine’s trouble with a new coach is not anything new. In the past, the Maroon 5 frontman has fought with just about every newcomer on The Voice.
However, Levine’s squabbles with Cyrus are on a completely different level.
“Miley showed up like she owned the place and Adam seems just really tired of her interjecting every single time he is speaking!” the source shared.
Despite Levine’s feud with Cyrus, the insider revealed that he has gotten close with Alicia Keys, the other new coach for the upcoming season.
Is there something else behind Levine’s friendly attitude towards Keys? Is he using her to get back at Cyrus?
“Alicia has taken Adam’s side in his stance against Miley,” the source added. “They have kind of made a pact to help each other out and side with each other to make sure that Team Miley does NOT win this season!”
As previously reported by TheInquisitr, this isn’t the first time that Cyrus has been at the center of a controversy on the show.
Shortly after announcing that Cyrus and Keys would replace Christina Aguilera and Pharrell Williams, producers allegedly started to doubt their decision to cast Cyrus as a coach.
“Executives are now second-guessing their decision to bring Miley on full-time,” a source explained, adding that Cyrus’ fighting with Levine was a source of content for executives.
Why can’t Levine and Cyrus just get along with each other?
Apparently, the main reason why Adam Levine dislikes Cyrus is because they are too alike.
Not only do they have short attention spans, but they also don’t like each other’s personalities. At the same time, Cyrus knows that it angers Levine whenever she interrupts him, and she does it just to annoy him.
Unfortunately, Cyrus and Levine have not commented on the latest rumors surrounding their alleged feud. However, Cyrus did hint at their rivalry in a new Instagram post after a preview of Season 11 was released.
“Hope everyone was laughin with us and cheerin on the 1st 2 beauties to join Team Alicia & #TeamMiley,” she wrote alongside the image. “Thank you to everyone who tuned in last night! Seriously CAN NOT WAIT for you to see who else big sis & I swoop from Blake Shelton [and] Adam Levine #thevoice.”
That being said, Gossip Cop is reporting that Levine and Cyrus are not engaged in an all-out war on the set of The Voice. Instead, an inside source told the outlet that the feuding rumors are completely false.
“She couldn’t be getting along better with Adam and the rest of The Voice coaches,” a rep of Cyrus revealed.
Meanwhile, apart from the feud with Cyrus, Celebuzz is reporting that Levine was seen dancing around Beverly Hills while filming a new music video. The Voice star wore a blue turtle-like costume for the video and wowed fans with his martial arts moves and cartoonish skills.
Other members of Maroon 5 were also on hand to assist Levine.
Season 11 of The Voice is scheduled to premiere on NBC on Sept. 19.
