Angelina Jolie’s Jealousy Over Brad Pitt And Marion Cotillard Continues Amid ‘Allied’ Oscar Buzz?

Are Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie on the rocks once again?

Following a slew of divorce reports in recent months, Brad Pitt, 52, and his wife, Jolie, 41, were said to be doing great until a new rumor suggested that Jolie was jealous over Pitt and his Allied co-star, Marion Cotillard, being tied to talks of an Oscar.

“Brad Pitt’s latest movie has some critics already talking about a possible Oscar nomination next year,” Celebrity Dirty Laundry revealed to readers on August 16.

Following the release of the dramatic trailer for Brad Pitt’s upcoming World War II film, Allied, in which he stars alongside Marion Cotillard, the report claimed the actor’s wife, Jolie, the mother of his six children, may be feeling jealous due to her own lackluster career.

The outlet went on to label By the Sea as one of the “worst movies” of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s careers and claimed Jolie’s latest films, including Maleficent and The Tourist, were “highly mocked” by critics. They even claimed Brad Pitt’s wife hasn’t had a hit since she and Pitt starred alongside one another in 2005’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

“With Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard’s media and promotional blitz for their film Allied scheduled for the next few months, there’s no doubt that Angelina Jolie will feel like she’s once again being left in the shadows by her more successful husband,” Celebrity Dirty Laundry concluded.

Following the report, a source close to the situation told Gossip Cop the jealously claims were “nonsense.”

Months ago, as Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard filmed Allied, reports began swirling, claiming Pitt and Cotillard had engaged in an on-set fling, which was “eating away” at Jolie.

“The resentment has been eating away at Angelina,” an insider explained to In Touch Weekly in March, according to a report by Hollywood Life. “She’s prone to think that since she was once Brad’s co-star and seduced him away from his wife, the same will happen to her.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie infamously fell in love with one another in 2005 as they filmed Mr. & Mrs. Smith. At the time, Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston, but that didn’t stop the co-stars’ feelings for one another, and just weeks after Aniston filed for divorce, they went public with their romance during a vacation in Kenya with Jolie’s son, Maddox, whom Pitt has since adopted as his own.

The magazine went on to reveal that in addition to being jealous over Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard’s time together, Jolie was also jealous over her fellow actress’ success.

“She’s exactly the kind of sultry European actress that Angie has always wanted to be and she’s playing exactly the kind of role Angie’s always wanted to play,” the magazine’s source continued. “Adding to the jealousy is the fact that Marion has one thing Angelina hasn’t achieved in her acting career: Oscar for Best Actress.”

According to the report, the drama caused by his wife’s alleged insecurities over his relationship with Cotillard had prompted Brad Pitt to consider filing for divorce.

“[Brad Pitt] will be the one to file,” the insider stated. “He’s fed up with her controlling ways, her obstinateness when it comes to listening to him about her health issues and how she needs to slow down and now her outright jealousy when it comes to other women.”
