Jaden Smith Same-Sex Kiss Revamps Talk About Teen’s Sexuality [Video]
Jaden Smith’s new Netflix musical drama, The Get Down, premiered on the streaming service last week, and the reviews are starting to come in. All in all, the new Jaden Smith venture is getting some positive reviews, especially among viewers who like their entertainment musical and flashy and hot. However, despite the good reviews, Jaden Smith’s drama-magnet persona has ensured that not all talk about The Get Down has to do with the show’s plot.

One of the biggest surprises for many fans was the same-sex kiss Jaden Smith shares with a sexy blonde co-star. Because of his gender-fluid style and often gender-ambiguous appearance, Jaden Smith has been the target of a lot of sexuality-related rumors in the past. The teenage Mr. Smith just turned 18 at the beginning of July, and at the time of his birthday, there was wide-spread speculation that he would be undergoing gender reassignment in order to more fully embrace his “cross-dressing” lifestyle.
Now that Jaden is officially a grown-up, and taking on adult characters, such as his starring role in The Get Down, questions about his sexuality are starting to swirl again, reports Instinct Magazine.
The Jaden Smith same-sex kiss scene in the new series is stoking a lot of the rumors. It is featured on the show and the video of Christina Aguilera’s new song “Telepathy.”
The Get Down, featuring Jaden Smith, is a bit of a fictionalized retelling of the rise of the Hip Hop musical scene in the Bronx in the late 1970s. Unlike many portrayals of the Hip Hop scene, the new Netflix series doesn’t seem to be shying away from the LGBT component of the lifestyle, and using Jaden Smith’s sometimes ambiguous personal sexuality seems to be drawing a lot of attention to the Baz Luhrmann series.
Because Jaden Smith is no stranger to gender bending, he seems to step seamlessly into the role of guy-kissing. But, he’s an actor. Just because he locks lips with a dude in front of the camera doesn’t mean he’s gay. Lots of straight stars have portrayed same-sex relationships on screen. Of course, none of those straight male stars that came before him were ever the first male face of Louis Vuitton’s women’s fashion, either. Jaden Smith is.
I didn't know Jaden smith was gay….

Not that Jaden Smith seems to care what people think about his sexuality. Nor is this the first time Jaden Smith has allegedly been caught on tape mouth-kissing another guy. This YouTube video hit the web about a year ago, and it purportedly shows Jaden Smith smooching a gay friend. Unfortunately, it may be a bit of a stretch as none of the photos show lips locking and rather seem to show the two guys getting in a shouting match.

More recently, Ratchet Queens reported just this year that Jaden Smith is not only gay, but that he’s in a “gay relationship” with fellow musician, rapper Lil B. Despite the fact that Jaden Smith has been in a very public relationship with the notorious Sarah Snyder for over a year now (the pair are constantly loving it up in public), the online magazine shared pics of Jaden with Lil B and declared that they mean that Jaden Smith is gay. Jaden, son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, has never publicly announced that he’s a part of the LGBT community, although he has publicly supported LGBT rights.

Also in 2016, PhillyMag ran a headline with a probing question. Namely, they wanted to know if a recent Jaden Smith tweet constituted “coming out of the closet.” In the tweet in question, Jaden Smith told Tyler the Creator that he might have some love-like feelings for him.
@fucktyler I Think Im In Love With You, I Don't Know I'm Still Figuring It Out But In The Meantime, Happy Birthday.

Following that incident, the Jaden Smith “gay rumors” got so pervasive that a source close to the Smith family reportedly told the media that there was “no truth to any of it.”
For now, and amid the success of The Get Down, it’s fairly likely that the questions regarding Jaden Smith’s ambiguous sexuality will continue to swirl. In all likelihood, Jaden is loving the attention, and it couldn’t come at a better time in his career. Reportedly, in addition to his new Netflix series, Jaden’s debut album is set to drop any time now.

Not to mention his dad’s new summer blockbuster Suicide Squad is in theaters, and Jaden Smith did some promotional appearances for that as well. In fact, as Jaden toured to promote his dad’s new movie, he was also the subject of a pervasive internet suicide hoax, a hoax that some in the industry believe Jaden Smith may have initiated himself.
Jaden Smith’s girlfriend has also been making Internet waves. For weeks, rumors swirled that Sarah Snyder was cheating on her teen boy toy with a photographer who tweeted then deleted a pic of the pair getting cozy in bed together. Reportedly, Jaden Smith was also tagged in the tweet.
