When Nick Viall joined the Bachelor in Paradise cast, he had one girl in mind — and it wasn’t Amanda Stanton. Although the focus seems to be on Josh Murray stealing Amanda away from Nick, a new report indicates that Nick was looking forward to meeting another girl from Bachelor Ben Higgins’ season: Jen Saviano.

After coming in as the runner-up on two seasons of The Bachelorette , many viewers were surprised to see Nick show up in Paradise . Several months ago, the 35-year-old software sales rep-turned-Wilhelmina model told WetPaint that his time with the Bachelor franchise was in the past.
Now he’s back, and spoilers indicate that he will make it far this season, but will he leave the show engaged?
“I think my time with The Bachelor franchise — although I have no regrets — my guess is that it’s probably past. I don’t see myself doing Bachelor in Paradise . I love it too much as a fan to ever be on it.”
According to a recent post on Amanda Stanton’s blog , she had a crush on Nick before heading to Paradise , but she knew she didn’t have a chance with him.
Amanda admits that she met with Nick a few times before filming Paradise , and he told her he was going on the show to meet Jen Saviano.
“[Nick] had told me he was considering going because he was very interested in getting to know Jen Saviano,” Amanda writes on her blog. “He had also told the twins and Jubilee the same thing…that he was interested in Jen. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have a big BIG crush on Nick going into Paradise …but I knew how interested he was in Jen so I figured he was uninterested in me!”

Jen arrives in Paradise on Week 3 (August 15), and they go on a date shortly after her arrival. After their first date, spoilers indicate that they quickly become one of the couples who are on the fast track to the final rose ceremony.
ABC’s preview for the season finale (video below) shows Nick looking at engagement rings with jeweler Neil Lane. The clip has many viewers assuming that Nick is one of the 10 contestants who make it to the season finale.

According to blogger Reality Steve , Nick and Jen make it to the Bachelor in Paradise season finale that airs on September 6. Spoilers point to the couple accepting the key to the Fantasy Suite, and they spend the night together before the final rose ceremony.
However, unlike rival Josh Murray, Nick won’t get down on one knee and propose to Jen. According to a previous report from the Inquisitr , five couples will make it to the season finale, but Jen and Nick will break up before the rose ceremony.
From what Reality Steve has to say, it sounds like they parted on good terms — perhaps a “friends with benefits” relationship is in their future?
“Their breakup I’m hearing was amicable. When the process of this show basically forces a couple to ‘stay together or break up,’ and you have a couple that’s known each other for about 10 days you can see why a decision was made to break up.”
Nick Viall struck out a third time trying to find love on TV, but it was a good experience for him this time, and fans have been very supportive this time around. He has no hard feelings about Amanda and tells Us Weekly that he is happy with the way he was portrayed on the show.
“Amanda’s great. I still think Amanda’s great,” Viall tells Us Weekly . “I still think she has the best intentions, and I always continued to root for Amanda and her journey to love.”
Viall is also happy that Paradise fans are seeing him in a much better light than on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of The Bachelorette .
“I got some heat in the past, and maybe that’s why the sentiment from Bachelor Nation wasn’t as positive in the past, because those were the aspects that were shown… I do feel that more of my personality is getting out [on Bachelor in Paradise ], which is more fun to see. It’s always good to hear positive things. … I’m certainly not complaining and it definitely feels nice.”
Watch Nick Viall and his remaining castmates on ABC’s Bachelor in Paradise on Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET, followed by the live After Paradise talk show at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday nights.
