‘Come To Jesus:’ Sarah Palin Urges America To Find Its Lord And Savior
In a recent statement to the Washington Standard on Saturday, former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin said that America needs a “come to Jesus” moment. In the same breath, the Examiner reports that Palin also urged Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan to “go rogue.” Palin, it would seem, has quite a few theories on how the country and the Republican candidates should be handling their respective business.
In order to deliver the truth to the masses, Palin feels that Republicans should effectively bypass the “lamestream media” and deliver the political gospel to the masses. “With so much at stake in this election, both Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan should ‘go rogue’ and not hold back from telling the American people the true state of our economy and national security,” Palin said.
According to The Guardian Express, Sarah Palin’s advice didn’t end there. America, it would seem, is in desperate need to connecting with God. In order for the country to function properly, she feels that we need to become one with our personal Lord and Savior.
“America desperately needs to have a ‘come to Jesus’ moment in discussing our big dysfunctional, disconnected and debt-ridden federal government,” she explained.
Of course, Sarah Palin’s suggestions, criticisms, and advice didn’t begin and end with America and the Republican candidates. She also used the opportunity to come down on President Obama, who she chided for being unable to recall the precise figure of the national debt during an appearance on David Letterman.
“Even my 10-year-old daughter knows that it’s $16 trillion, and unlike Obama, she’s not responsible for adding trillions to it,” Sarah Palin said. She also took a jab at the President’s “empty chair style of leadership,” a reference to Trouble with the Curve star Clint Eastwood’s appearance at the Republican National Convention.
