Khloe Kardashian Shocks With ‘Dying’ Lamar Odom Reaction: Can Drug And Alcohol Rehab Help?

Khloe Kardashian is facing another backlash amidst her problems with estranged husband Lamar Odom. And this time, those slams against Kardashian’s response to Lamar’s reported relapse into dangerous habits, including drug and alcohol abuse, are hitting close to home.

Odom has just three months left to live, according to In Touch, which reports that he is “dying” after relapsing into abusing substances. Those close to him are particularly shocked about his reported return to drugs and alcohol because Lamar almost died just last year after an overdose.

The last time that Odom was in a health crisis, Khloe rushed to be by his side, nursing him back to health. But this time, Kardashian has a dramatically different reaction to Lamar’s life-threatening health crisis.

Khloe has kicked Odom off her health insurance plan, an insider told In Touch. She reportedly took that step when friends discovered a crack pipe in the California house that Kardashian had rented for her estranged husband. And when Lamar’s former wife discovered the news, she was furious at Khloe.

Odom’s ex Liza Morales is the mother of his children, and she began a backlash battle against Kardashian over the lack of a health insurance plan. Liza learned about Khloe’s decision when she was hunting for a rehab facility that might be able to save Lamar. But the source revealed that Kardashian is standing firm against doing anything more to try to rescue Odom.

“They exchanged angry and heated phone calls and text messages, but Khloe’s mindset is that she’s done everything she can to help Lamar.”

In addition, Kardashian booted Odom from the place where he was supposedly recovering. However, the insider also revealed that he does not “want or need her help.”

Khloe has also revealed her frustration about Lamar on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Even as the rest of the family was enjoying a visit to Cuba, Kardashian was immersed in her struggle over how to respond to Lamar’s continuing addiction issues, reported People.

Chatting with her friend Malika Haqq for the reality TV show cameras, Khloe described how she feels she has postponed living her own life in order to care for her estranged husband.

“Lamar has come a long way since his whole hospital situation,” Kardashian clarified.

“I’ve put my life on hold to get him on the right track… but there’s so much he has to fix for himself.”

In addition, Kardashian confessed to her family that Odom had been asking her for cash. However, he had not taken the time to complete his therapy, did not know what path he wanted to follow for his future, and also was struggling with depression, poured out the 32-year-old in her list of worries about her estranged husband.

However, even though Khloe is stepping back from the situation, Lamar’s family and friends are stepping up, hoping that it’s not too late for a drug and alcohol addiction treatment plan to save the former superstar athlete.

But attempts to stage an intervention for Odom became derailed, and it’s a close pal who is to blame, reported Page Six.

“[Odom] was supposed to come to the house — I had his family there,” revealed Ron Dock,a certified addiction and recovery specialist recruited by the ex-athlete’s family.

Their goal was to persuade Lamar to enter the Darryl Strawberry Recovery Center in Florida.

“The main focus was going to be his son and daughter. I had them write letters and they were going to submit the letters to their father explaining their feelings about his behavior,” shared Dock. “It was all set in place.”

But then the friend reportedly sabotaged the intervention. Although his children, some relatives, and his former wife were present, no Kardashian family members attended.

“I think some people want people around you to keep you sick so they can get what they want from you,” said Dock about the unnamed pal who derailed the intervention. “I believe this is the case here.”
