Who Is Brandon Andreen Of ‘Bachelor In Paradise’ 2016? Will Brandon’s Sketchy Past Force Him To Lose Out On Love In ‘Paradise’?
Who is Bachelor In Paradise 2016 contestant Brandon Andreen and how far does he make it on ABC’s summer reality show? The Minnesota native, who appeared on Desiree Hartsock‘s season of The Bachelorette, will arrive in Paradise on Week 2 (August 8) for another chance at finding love on TV.
Host Chris Harrison will greet Brandon and two other contestants — Josh Murray and Christian Bishop —when they arrive in Paradise on Monday night. While many fans may not recognize Brandon, those who do will remember Brandon’s brief and overly emotional time on Season 9 of the Bachelorette back in 2013.
How long will Brandon stay in Paradise and will his somewhat sketchy past be revealed to the women he dates on the show?
[Warning: Bachelor in Paradise Season 3 spoilers ahead]
According to WetPaint, during a Bachelor Mansion pool party, Brandon was “overcome with emotion” when he told Des that he was rejected by all of his mother’s boyfriends. The conversation led to an extremely awkward kiss, and Brandon, who had yet to go on a one-on-one date with Desiree, told her that he was in love with her.
“Brandon shoved his tongue down Desiree’s throat while she was just like ‘Nope, Nope, Noooooo…’ He did what any normal person would do and dropped the L-bomb on Des after knowing her for approximately 10 days. But whatever, guys, she ‘consumes his mind.'”
His fast-track to a long-lasting love story didn’t work out so well for Andreen, who was working as a painting contractor before he filmed the Bachelorette. Desiree sent him home on Episode 3, and it turns out that his stay in Paradise will be even shorter.
According to Reality Steve, Andreen scores a date with twins Emily and Haley Ferguson shortly after he arrives in Paradise, so he’s off to a good start. However, spoilers point to five couples making it to the season finale, and Andreen isn’t among the contestants who make a love connection. It isn’t clear if Brandon’s past legal issues surface during his time on the show or if he simply doesn’t click with any of the girls in Paradise.

Although he goes on a date with the Ferguson twins, he will not get a rose from any of the girls at the Week 2 rose ceremony (August 9) and will head home after only a one-episode stay.
Brandon has had several brushes with the law over the past few years and one of the incidents is so recent that he was still on probation when he flew to Mexico to film Bachelor in Paradise.
According to a previous report from the Inquisitr, Andreen was charged with a DUI in January. He served jail time followed by home confinement and is currently under a three-year probation sentence.
In addition to the DUI and several other charges, Radar Online reports that Andreen was charged with a felony in 2005.The report states that Brandon pretended to be an FBI agent and called a General Motors plant employee to say that there was a “highly explosive device” in an elevator shaft. Charges were reduced to a misdemeanor with a $1,000 fine attached after Andreen “struck a plea bargain.”
According to ABC, Bachelor in Paradise Season 3 will air two nights per week starting with Week 2 (August 9 – 10). Watch the drama, along with a few love stories, on Mondays from 8 – 10 p.m. ET and Tuesdays from 8 – 9 p.m. ET.
Starting August 9 at 9 p.m. ET, Chris Harrison will return to host the live After Paradise talk show along with celebrity super fans and Bachelor in Paradise cast members.
