#SaveMarinaJoyce: Fans of YouTube Beauty Vlogger Marina Joyce Share Safety Concerns On Social Media
Followers of Marina Joyce, an English YouTube star known for her fashion sense and keen makeup tips, have become increasingly worried over what they say is a massive switch in both personality and appearance for the young woman.
As reported by the International Business Times on Tuesday, most of her fans have taken issue with Joyce’s latest YouTube post, “Date Outfit Ideas,” where the 19-year-old is seen promoting clothing from StyleEwe. During several moments early on in the video, Marina is literally directed where to stand by someone standing outside of the camera scope. Furthermore, it has been implied that a few seconds into the video, a low-spoken yet audible “help me” is captured by the device’s microphone.

Later, as she twirls to show off the dress she is wearing, visible bruises can be seen all over her arms.
Understandably, this has led most to initially believe that Marina Joyce could be the victim of a domestically violent relationship, but alleged friends of hers state that this isn’t the case. According to supposed Facebook messages between one of Joyce’s friends and Marina’s mother, Cheryl Joyce, the relationship between Marina and her current boyfriend is not one that involves violence. Screen grabs from these alleged conversations have been swirling around online for several days, although their validity has yet to be confirmed.
Also, there have been rumors that drugs may be in play as the young Joyce has been known in the past to attend drug-fueled raves and imbibe in illegal substances in her everyday life. Fellow YouTuber, Craig Dillon loaned credence to this idea via a Twitter post when fans of Marina asked him if he had knowledge of Joyce’s possible drug usage.
“Stop asking me about Marina Joyce,” he demanded. “She’s had a huge drug problem for ages. We’ve all tried to help save [her], but she won’t accept it.”
Unfortunately, the one person who can easily nip all of these claims in the bud is Marina Joyce herself, but she doesn’t seem to be in much of a chatty mood as of late. After fans flooded her YouTube channel to ask her to prove she was safe by displaying a heart drawn on her hand in a future video, she closed off all commenting on each of her clips. Her last known direct message to fans came on July 25 via her Twitter page.
this is very sweet guys but im okay seriously <3 i love you all so much#savemarinajoyce

This was in strong opposition to a response she was said to have made in the comments section of the “Date Idea Outfits” video.
“Reading all of your comments,” Joyce stated with a sad emoji attached, “[but] I don’t know what to say.”
While she might be a loss for words for whatever reason, fans have found a way to speak for her. The hashtag, #SaveMarinaJoyce, was created on Twitter to promote fans’ concern about Marina and hopefully get it noticed by people who can truly step in to help if it’s genuinely required.
As if the collective voices of Marina Joyce’s fans wasn’t strong enough, one personal associate of hers, another YouTube personality named Carmie Sellito, has taken to his own subscribers to express his concern. In a video he shared entitled, “This Girl Needs Help,” Selitto repeats the many concerns that fans of Joyce have regarding the “Date Outfit Ideas” video, and adds that if something dark is happening to Marina, then all of YouTube needs to unify in order to save her life.
“If I know about it, and I’m not doing anything about it, then [I’ll] feel bad,” he says. “She is a YouTuber and so am I, and YouTubers need to stick together.”
