Michael Myers Returns: Halloween Horror Nights 26 At Universal Studios Orlando Just Got Even Better
It may be really hard to imagine that things can get even scarier than they already are, but Universal Studios Orlando has upped their game. As fans await information on what may come forward this fall to scare their entire being, an announcement made on Thursday may have topped anything that is to come. Hell is indeed coming to Haddonfield as it was revealed that Michael Myers is returning for a haunted house at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights 26.

On Thursday, Universal Orlando revealed that the original Halloween maze back at Halloween Horror Nights 24 was a gigantic success and fans have been clamoring for more. It was based on the original film from John Carpenter and allowed fans to walk through the scenes of the iconic film.
Of course, they were also being chased and tormented by Michael Myers, but that’s just an added bonus.
Well, this year’s new haunted house is going to be called “Halloween: Hell Comes To Haddonfield,” and it’s actually going to be a direct sequel. Fans will walk between the homes of Haddonfield and be attacked by Michael Myers before finding “sanctuary” in a hospital.
Those that know the movie franchise know that this is lifted directly from the pages of Halloween II, and it’s all going to be represented at HHN 26. That includes the “fiery end” for Michael Myers.
So, just like in the movies, Halloween Horror Nights 26 is going to pick up right where the original Halloween maze left off two years ago. Malek Akkad, the producer of numerous Halloween films, will be working with Universal to make the house as realistic and frightening as possible.
It’s going to be located in the “parade facility building” at Universal Studios Orlando, and that is one of the largest they have.
Thursday’s announcement was not made in a small way either as Universal Studios Orlando released a teaser video for the haunted house. If it is any indication of what is to come, things are going to be magnificently terrifying on select nights from Sept. 16 – Oct. 31, 2016.
There are still more than two months until the first night of Halloween Horror Nights 26, but Universal Studios Orlando has already promised nine new haunted houses in 2016. After the Halloween announcement, there are four total which are known.
- The Walking Dead
- The Exorcist
- The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
While some of those have been themes for haunted houses and mazes before, like Halloween, they will be different tales from the franchises. All of this frightening fun must have a host, and it isn’t going to be Jack the Clown this year.
Back in early June, it was revealed that Jack’s trust and evil sidekick Chance would be the host for HHN 26.
