Ramona Singer On ‘RHONY’ Friendships: ‘I Know What I Like And Need In A Friendship’

Ramona Singer has been on The Real Housewives of New York for many years, and she’s gone through several friendships on the show. While Ramona has been on the show since the very beginning, other women have joined for just a few seasons, and it is possible that Singer hasn’t stayed in touch with these ladies. As it turns out, Ramona knows what she wants and needs in a friend, and she won’t settle for anything less. And Singer reveals that friendships will change on this season of the show as fans will see.

According to a new Bravo report, Ramona Singer is now revealing that her friendships do change over time as they are like roller coasters. One minute things are fine, and other times things are a bit rocky. But Ramona doesn’t see it as anything personal. She just sees these changes as people growing, and perhaps, growing apart.

“Friends, friendships, girls: We are a breed of our own. Friendships have ebbs and flows, and I do think that throughout this season you really see a lot more of that. So although people may read it as who is doing what to who, I see it so differently. I see that we all grow; we all get to know each other in different ways. Our interests may change; our lives may change. That’s when other relationships become stronger or weaker. I will never defend who I choose to be friends with. I know what I like and need in a friendship. I know what I am capable of giving back. So whether it’s Dorinda being an amazing friend to Jules or myself or Bethenny and Carole growing closer during this season, no one ever has a reason to judge,” Ramona Singer reveals in her blog for The Real Housewives of New York.

It is possible that Ramona Singer is talking about her friendship with Sonja Morgan, which has been a bit strained over the past couple of months. While Singer and Morgan do talk on the show, things have changed over the past couple of months. Sonja recently revealed on Twitter that she no longer talks to Ramona because she feels that Ramona is too judgmental when it comes to her drinking. Plus, many of her Real Housewives of New York co-stars believe that Singer is hypocritical as she drinks herself.

Even though Ramona Singer doesn’t talk to Morgan that much anymore, she does have a strong friendship with Bethenny Frankel. The two had filmed the show together before as they were original housewives when the show started. So when Frankel learned about her surgery and needing a living will, Ramona broke down. She had tears in her eyes while watching that scene as they are close friends.

“Any surgery is so scary and although a lot of women do go through it, when it’s happening directly to you, it never feels the same! But I must say through it all Bethenny still remained strong and handled things face on. I really respect that quality in her,” Ramona Singer explained in her blog for The Real Housewives of New York.

But just because Singer is showing her caring side when it comes to Bethenny doesn’t mean she has that side for everyone. According to The Daily Mail, Ramona has recently questioned whether Luann de Lesseps’ engagement ring is indeed real. Singer said that she would want to have it appraised to see if Thomas D’Agostino had really given her a real ring or a fake ring.
