Jamie Foxx And Katie Holmes Officially Dating, How They Kept Their Long-Rumored Romance A Secret

It’s official. Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes are dating.

Rumors of a romance between the stars have been ongoing for years. How did they keep their relationship a secret for so long?

According to E! Online, Foxx’s longtime friend, Claudia Jordan, revealed that Foxx’s romance with Holmes is stronger than ever. Apparently, their relationship started after Foxx and Tom Cruise worked together on Collateral.

The first public appearance happened back in 2006. Holmes, Foxx, and Cruise ran into each other during a Monday Night Football game and posed for a quick photo op.

Six years later, in 2012, Holmes and Cruise officially filed for divorce.

For his part, Foxx has always been very secretive about his dating life.

The actor had a child in 2009, but has never divulged the identity of her mother. He has, however, been linked to both Fantasia Barrino and Meagan Good.

It wasn’t until the summer of 2013 that reports first surfaced of a romance between Foxx and Holmes.

The two stars were spotted dancing with each other during the 4th Annual Apollo. Rumors then surfaced that Foxx was hanging out with Holmes in New York and spending “a lot of time” with her.

In October of 2013, Foxx tried to throw the media off his trail. He told reporters that the dating rumors were “one hundred percent not true,” though he admitted that they were amusing.

“It’s quite hilarious because we simply danced at a charity event along with a lot of other people,” Foxx shared. “I had Colin Powell on stage dancing, so they could have said me and Colin Powell were dating!”

Things really started to pick up in March of 2015 when a photo surfaced that featured Holmes and Foxx getting close and comfy in his house. At the time, sources indicated that their romance “started as a fling” that “has since become a long-term attraction.”

After the photo was released, Jamie Foxx once again denied a relationship with Holmes.

“What I’ve learned about society today is that they’re so thirsty,” Foxx stated. “Especially in tabloid world and social media world, they’re so thirsty to find any story. Sometimes when you read the stuff you’re like, ‘Wow! That’s so not true!’ ”

Earlier this year, Holmes and Foxx were seen wearing similar wedding bands. Although they were never spotted together, the sightings sparked rumors of a potential engagement.

Of course, their dating secrets were ultimately revealed after Jordan discussed Foxx’s relationship with Holmes during a podcast.

According to E! Online, The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum explained that Foxx and Holmes and happily dating.

“[He’s a good friend of mine. Never [hooked up with him],” Jordan spilled. “He is very happy with her, so I like that he seems very happy.”

So far, neither Holmes nor Foxx have officially commented on their dating status.

Since the revealing interview, the Daily Mail is reporting that Jordan has backtracked on her comments. Now, the reality star is adamant that she “misspoke” about her friend’s relationship with Holmes.

Apparently, Jordan is unsure whether or not Foxx and Holmes are dating.

“I have no knowledge of Jamie with Katie at all. I’ve never seen them together, he’s never told me he’s dating her,” Jordan explained. “A lot of times, I get asked questions about celebrities – some I know, some I don’t – a lot of times we just give a safe kind of generic answer.”

Jordan went on to apologize for making the comments.

“Sorry to not have this bombshell story, but I cannot confirm them,” she continued. “I don’t have the knowledge of this being fact, I don’t. I misspoke.”
