Watch Argentina Vs. Chile Live Online: Start Time, Streaming Video Link For 2016 Copa America Final
Fans can watch the Argentina vs. Chile soccer match live online and see whether Lionel Messi and his teammates can enact some revenge for last year’s heartbreaking loss in the Copa America final.
The same teams met in the Copa America title game last year, with Chile winning on penalty kicks after both teams went scoreless in regulation. Messi and his La Albiceleste teammates will get a chance to even the score when the teams meet at MetLife Stadium on Sunday night for the 2016 Copa America final.
The teams will meet at 8 p.m. ET, with coverage on FS1 and Univision Deportes. It will also be streaming live online for fans unable to make it to a television (a link to the streaming video can be found below).
Fans who watch the 2016 Copa America final live online will see if Chile can pull off the upset of a nearly unstoppable Argentina team. Messi’s squad has been on a tear throughout the tournament, scoring 18 goals in five games while allowing just two, and winning all of their contests.
The teams competing in Sunday’s final have already met once, with Argentina handing Chile a loss during group stage play. But Chile put the loss behind them and rolled, with a 7-0 dismantling of a very strong Mexico team in the quarterfinal round and a 2-0 win over Colombia to reach the final.

“This team is playing with plenty of confidence as it looks to repeat as Copa America champs, with new coach Juan Antonio Pizzi having the team organized and motivated, and Eduadro Vargas (four goals against Mexico) shining,” CBS Sports noted.
As CBS Sports added, Chile’s best chance of winning is stifling the strong Argentina attack.
“Getting Vidal back is big for Chile, but can they stop Argentina’s quickness and power up front? The favorites have scored in a variety of ways, like off the counter, off set pieces and in open play. If Chile can be physical enough in the middle and negate some of the chances Argentina have to create, they will be in a good spot. As you can see below, Argentina did it all against the U.S. and will take any chance to strike on Chile.”
But Chile also comes into the 2016 Copa America final determined to make up for the initial loss to Argentina.
“We lost because of our own failures,” defensive midfielder Marcelo Diaz said, via the Associated Press. “That’s not going to happen tomorrow.”
Chile will be getting a boost from Diaz as well. After missing the semifinal round with an injury, he will be able to return on Sunday night against Argentina.
The pressure will undoubtedly be on Argentina, however. After streaking through the tournament they are now the heavy favorite, giving them a chance to erase a 23-year stretch without a major international title. The squad has been at the doorstep many times in recent years — reaching the World Cup final and the Copa America title game in three of the past four years — but has been unable to break through for a win.
It will be especially pressure-packed for Messi, who is arguably the best player in the world right now, but could be running out of time to steer his team to a title. He will be turning 29 soon, an age when other superstars already had a number of titles.
“Pele had won two World Cups and was a year away from a third by his 29th birthday,” the Los Angeles Times noted. “Diego Maradona was 25 when he won a World Cup as Argentina’s captain, one reason he remains more revered at home than Messi.”
Predicted starting XI:
Argentina
Romero; Rojo, Otamendi, Funes Mori, Mercado; Banega, Mascherano, Biglia; Messi, Higuain, Di Maria
Chile
Bravo; Jara, Medel, Beausejour, Isla; Silva, Hernandez, Aranguiz, Fuenzalida; Sanchez, Vargas
