Jules Wainstein Getting The Axe From ‘Real Housewives Of New York’ Amid Nasty Divorce?
Jules Wainstein’s future on The Real Housewives of New York is now in jeopardy.
Wainstein surprised fans by announcing her divorce from longtime husband Michael. Now, the Daily Mail reports that the reality star might not return to the show after this season.
“Bravo isn’t asking Jules back,” an insider explained. “[Wainstein] isn’t resonating with viewers.”
In response to the rumors, a rep for Bravo explained that they haven’t “made any casting decisions” regarding the upcoming season.
That being said, Wainstein was brought on the show because they needed another married woman to balance out the single ladies. With Wainstein getting a divorce, producers don’t want to explore another divorce storyline.
Considering the nature of their split, it is highly unlikely that Wainstein and Michael will work things out.
Wainstein decided to part ways with her husband after she found out he was cheating.
Since their shocking breakup, People is reporting that Wainstein called police on Michael because she was afraid for her safety.
“She was in an environment in which she genuinely did not feel safe,” an insider told the outlet.
Despite the safety concerns, Wainstein is ready to move forward with the divorce.
“She’s actually okay. I think it’s a relief to her to proceed with the divorce,” the source continued. “I think she’s relieved to be starting her life over. It’s been very hard.”
For now, Jules Wainstein is concentrating on the well-being of her kids and promoting her business, Modern Alkeme.
Wainstein and Michael were married eight years and have two kids together, Jagger and Rio.
Meanwhile, Wainstein’s co-stars have already voiced their support in the midst of her breakup.
According to OK! Magazine, Ramona Singer was the first to share her opinion on Wainstein’s divorce.
“Jules is a strong woman,” Singer stated. “I’m giving her my support, I’m sure the other ladies on the show will give her their support also. This is when you need your friends and family the most, and she’ll be OK.”
Singer has experience dealing with messy divorces. Just last year, Singer went through a split of her own with Mario, whom she caught in an affair.
At the same time, Us Magazine is reporting that Luann de Lesseps has also commented on the surprising breakup.
In contrast to Singer, de Lesseps praised Wainstein for keeping her personal life separate from the reality world.
“I totally admire Jules for not bringing [her divorce] on the show. I think it’s very difficult to walk that line with the ladies,” de Lesseps said. “And I think that you have to protect your family first.”
De Lesseps also expressed surprise by the divorce and admitted that she did not see the signs.
“And I feel bad that she’s going through what she’s going through,” de Lesseps added. “And I really didn’t have a clue that she was having marital problems.”
In closing, de Lesseps had a few words of advice for Wainstein.
“My advice is to hopefully handle it the best way you can, and that is to protect your children,” she said. “And to try and maintain a relationship with your ex so that your kids know that they’re loved and that Mommy and Daddy, even though they’re not together, they have a friendship.”
De Lesseps has also gone through a divorce and is currently planning her wedding with Thomas D’Agastino. The couple plans on exchanging vows at the end of 2016.
Unfortunately, neither Singer nor de Lesseps commented on Wainstein’s future on the show.
At this point, it’s anyone’s guess whether or not Bravo will invite her back.
The Real Housewives of New York continues Wednesday nights on Bravo.
