Demi Lovato Bluntly Returns To Social Media After 24-Hour Break
Just less than 24 hours later, Demi Lovato, 23, returns to social media after she previously declared that she was quitting Twitter and Instagram.
On Tuesday, June 20, the “Stone Cold” singer took to Twitter to reveal that she’s quitting the site for good. Fans wanted to know why Lovato wanted to leave her Twitter and Instagram accounts behind.
“Damn I gotta quit sayin s**t. Bye Twitter (sic),” the pop star wrote. “And insta (sic),” she continued to tweet before leaving the social media app behind.
But there was one social media app that Demi wasn’t giving up and that was Snapchat because she doesn’t receive comments from her haters.
“I like snapchat cause I don’t have to see what some of y’all say. Follow me if you want: theddlovato,” she added.
But Lovato wasn’t satisfied. There was one more thing that the powerhouse singer had to get off her chest.
“But why do people actually give a f*** what I say?? like if you don’t care the (sic) gtfo haha,” she wrote. “That one time I started my own charity providing mental health care for people who can’t afford it and this is what y’all talk about,” she added with a chin-rubbing and disappointed emoji.
“And people wonder what’s wrong with the world,” she said after she signed off Twitter for good. “Pay more attention to good than bad.”
But it looks like the “Heart Attack” singer is back with a vengeance. On Wednesday, June 21, she officially came back and she’s getting bolder than ever.
“F*** this.. I’m back b****es. And I’m coming back more honest than ever,” Lovato bluntly wrote.
It’s still unclear why the former Disney star tried to quit Twitter and Instagram in the first place. It appears that Demi can’t seem to quit social media like the rest of us. On the flip side, it’s highly possible that Lovato loves the attention she receives for her controversial social media comments. Or, maybe she’s just bored.

Besides, Demi has a skincare line and tour to promote. The singer has taken to Instagram over the weekend to promote her new Acne Rescue Treatment from her Devonne by Demi skincare line. Demi’s also ready to go on her Future Now Tour with her friend and fellow pop star, Nick Jonas.

It’s clear to see that the singer received a lot of social media backlash for her recent statements about Mariah Carey last week. Lovato didn’t hold back when it came to defending her friends Jennifer Lopez and Ariana Grande. It all started when Lovato commented under a clip of Lopez addressing her feud with Carey.

Then, Demi came across another Instagram post that compared early ’90s Mariah to Ariana. The meme said, “When you order it online vs. when it arrives,” implying that Ari is a lesser version of Mariah.

Lovato, wrote, “You got it the wrong way around honey.” Then, she continued to clarify her statement when Carey’s fans went on the attack.
“Mariah is a legend and is so talented but constantly disses people. It’s nasty the way she treats Jennifer [Lopez]. Ari [Ariana Grande] did nothing wrong.”
Demi Lovato has been in a series of social media beefs with various celebrities. Just this year alone, she has beefed with Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, and Pink, according to Us Weekly. It looks like Lovato is back to Twitter, but it’s still unclear whether or not she’s also returning to Instagram.
