Dorinda Medley Reveals What She Knew Was Going On In Michael And Jules Wainstein’s Marriage
Did Dorinda Medley know that there was trouble in Jules Wainstein’s marriage? Did Dorinda see any evidence that Michael was cheating on Jules, as Jules alleges? It seems that Dorinda didn’t. In her latest blog post for The Real Housewives of New York City, posted on Friday, Dorinda talked about the demise of Michael and Jules’ marriage. Dorinda revealed that she now knows there was much more going on in the marriage that even she didn’t see.
Dorinda had already been friends with Jules for years before she joined the show’s current eighth season. It was Dorinda who introduced Jules to the other housewives. On Wednesday morning, Jules confirmed to the Daily Dish that she and Michael were divorcing after eight years of marriage. Via her representative, the mother-of-two said that cheating was the cause of the marriage’s demise.
Wednesday night’s episode of the show showed Dorinda and her boyfriend, John Mahdessian, having a dinner date with Jules and Michael. In her blog, Dorinda admitted that she had one too many drinks while waiting for Jules and Michael, which led to her not making sense in some instances when she was giving Jules and Michael marital advice.
“Let me fill you in on some facts … They were over an hour late. So what else is there to do? #MartiniTime! And when they showed up, you could cut the tension better than the steaks we were served. And you know me …Dorinda likes to make it NICE, so I proceeded to try and give some advice — some Martini-fueled advice, but it was all from a good place.”
Dorinda then revealed that she didn’t know the true extent of Jules and Michael’s marital problems. As for whether Dorinda believes that Michael actually cheated on Jules, Dorinda hinted that she does when she pointed out Michael’s questionable behavior.
“We now know there was much more going on behind the scenes that even I didn’t see. I realize there were deeper problems now, with Michael always being late, always on the phone, taking selfies, joking about hot nannies or hot girls … Much deeper problems, sadly.”
Dorinda also revealed that had she known how bad things really were, she would have ended the dinner early. Dorinda also told Jules that she and the other housewives are there for her.
“It’s always sad when a family has to go through that and a marriage breaks apart. Had I known it was the beginning of the end, I would have just asked for the check instead of another glass. But I’m here for you, Jules. We all are.”
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Dorinda Medley and some of the other housewives, including Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, and LuAnn de Lesseps, publicly voiced their support for Jules Wainstein after she confirmed the divorce on Wednesday.
On TheReal Housewives of New York City, it was clear that Jules and Michael weren’t in the best mood when they finally met Dorinda and John in the restaurant. Jules complained to John and Dorinda about how unhelpful Michael was with the kids. Jules told them that when she came home at 1:30 a.m. from visiting her father in the hospital and their daughter woke up demanding milk, Michael yelled at her to get the kid milk. She then discovered that he hadn’t changed her diaper. Jules also told Dorinda and John that they were late for dinner because Michael got home late but still insisted on taking a shower. Michael, meanwhile, was pretty preoccupied throughout the dinner with his phone, which even prompted John to nickname him “Phone Boy,” complained about Jules’ upcoming trip to Mexico with the housewives, and made jokes about finding a hot nanny. “F**k you!” Jules yelled at Michael.
Dorinda gave Jules and Michael some marital advice, which included some nonsensical lines such as, “The greatest grapes in California are the ones that have suffered and cried and been through hell,” and “It’s a corporate deal! It’s like a corporate deal! There’s no emotion! Do you know what I’m saying?!?!?!”
Since Jules confirmed the divorce on Wednesday, things have gotten even nastier between her and Michael. On Thursday, the Daily Mail reported that cops were called to the home and that one of the officers, upon leaving the premises, could be seen carrying a written statement with the words “threatening me… going to ruin my life,” clearly visible. The article quoted a “friend” of Jules as saying that Michael, who threatened Jules, was caught having an ongoing affair with Jules’ good friend.
On Friday, Michael’s attorney denied Jules’ claims to Page Six. According to the attorney, Jules called the cops for no good reason.
“At about 8 a.m…. his wife called the police to come to the home and she told the officers that he was talking too loud. They looked at her and said, ‘That’s no reason to call the police.’ “
The attorney, who described his client as “as “diminutive but brave,” added that it’s Jules who’s the abuser.
“She has brutalized him, poor guy — a foot shorter than her — and he is not going to take it anymore.”
Michael’s attorney further accused Bravo of drumming up drama for the upcoming The Real Housewives of New York City Season 8 reunion show.
“Behind all of these rumors is Bravo, trying to get some excitement going.”
A Bravo spokesperson denied the attorney’s accusation.
“There is absolutely no truth to this accusation. We are respecting Jules’ privacy and offering her nothing but support as she goes through this difficult time.”
When asked about Jules Wainstein’s alleged abuse of Michael Wainstein, her representative replied that “the truth will prevail.”
