Birthers Claim To Have Found Obama’s Kenya Birth Certificate

California attorney Orly Taitz, one of the leading members of the Birther movement has presented what he claims to be Barack Obama’s Kenya birth certificate.

The Birther movement, for those no familiar with it, claims that US President Barack Obama was born in Kenya, and therefore is not a natural born citizen, a requirement under the US constitution for anyone holding the Office of President. Despite a Hawaiian birth certificate being produced during the election campaign last year, Birthers claim that the Hawaiian document is not a full and proper birth certificate.

The alleged Obama Kenya birth certificate lists Obama’s parents as Barack Hussein Obama and Stanley Ann Obama, formerly Stanley Ann Dunham, the birth date as Aug. 4, 1961, and the hospital of birth as Coast General Hospital in Mombasa, Kenya.

Despite Taitz apparently filing the document in court and claiming that it’s real, there’s one small problem: the issuing authority. The document is claimed to be a reprint produced in February 1964 (Obama was born in 1961) by “The Republic of Kenya,” but the Republic of Kenya didn’t come into existence until December 1964 according to Wikipedia…and a pile of other independent sources.

100% fake, no question about it, and it’s embarrassing that some conservative sites are saying this is the real deal.
