‘Just Cause 3’ DLC ‘Mech Land Assault’ Arrives Today, June 3, For Season Pass Holders
A new Just Cause 3 DLC is available starting today, June 3. Mech Land Assault, the second content pack for Avalanche Studios’ open world action-adventure video game launches first for season pass holders, according to a report from Attack of the Fanboy.
The official Facebook page for Just Cause described the newest DLC:
“Mech Land Assault takes Rico Rodriguez to the new island of Lacrima, home to an abandoned eDen research base and a prison camp run by the mysterious Black Hand. Defended by huge powerful Mechs, Rico will need the new Bavarium Power Core rifle to disable their shields and hijack them. Once inside, Rico can use their powerful cannons and the GRIP Gravity Guns to hurl and smash the enemy into pieces.”
Moreover, the Mech Land Assault DLC features two kinds of powerful mech that Just Cause 3 players can drive anywhere in Medici, the fictional island nation where the game takes place. The latest content pack also brings in Mech’s Gravitational Remote Influence Projector or GRIP, which help gamers by attracting and throwing objects at their enemies. One of GRIP’s attacks called Force Pulse can “jump and smash helicopters from the sky or ground pound tanks,” the Facebook post explained.
Just Cause 3 players will be able to upgrade their skills by taking challenges in the Mech arena. Also, upon getting the new DLC, gamers can take advantage of Rebel Mech for additional firepower or use the new energy weapon called the Bavarium Power Core rifle.
Just Cause 3 fans who do not have the season pass will be able to get the newest Just Cause 3 DLC beginning June 10. The Mech Land Assault DLC pack can be purchased separately for only $11.99. However, those who are planning to have instant access to all of the game’s expansion packs can purchase Just Cause 3’s Season Pass called Air, Land and Sea, which comes with a $24.99 price tag, Destructoid’s report explained. The season pass includes three content packs for the game, namely Sky Fortress, the aforementioned second pack Mech Land Assault, and lastly, the Bavarium Sea Heist.
Sky Fortress, Just Cause 3’s first DLC was released on March 8, and it brought in an all-new and fully armed Bavarium Wingsuit, as well as a new weapon called the Splitter Assault Rifle to battle against lethal robotic drones. The Sky Fortress DLC also unlocked a new personal defense drone for Rico called Eviction, according to Just Cause’ official website.
Not much detail has been revealed about Bavarium Sea Heist, Just Cause 3’s third and last DLC pack, but a report from Gamespot noted that it will be available “by the end of summer 2016” and will also be available one week early for Season Pass holders.
