Watch Mexico Vs. Chile Football Live Online: Start Time, Streaming Video Link For Wednesday’s Copa America Tune-Up
Fans can watch the Mexico vs. Chile football match live online and see how the teams fare in their final tune-ups before the Copa America.
The rivals meet Wednesday night in San Diego, with start time scheduled for 10 p.m. ET (7 p.m. Pacific). The match will be broadcast on UniMás and Univision Deportes, and will also be available online for those looking to watch on streaming video (a link to the online video can be found below).
Mexico comes into the match on a hot streak, with a strong win last weekend against Paraguay and a great stretch of defense. The team has actually yet to surrender a goal under coach Juan Carlos Osorio.
It helps that Osorio has brought his best. After Mexico assembled something of a “B squad” for the 2015 Copa America — as coach Miguel Herrera chose to focus instead on the Gold Cup played later that summer — this year’s team is a strong one. As the San Diego Tribune noted, the roster includes Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez, Rafa Marquez, Andres Guardado, Oribe Peralta, and Ensenada’s Hector Herrera.
Fans who watch the Mexico vs. Chile football match live online will see what promises to be a raucous affair, even if the stakes aren’t particularly high. The Mexican national team’s first visit to San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium in three years is expected to generate a sell-out crowd and could approach the all-time record for a football match in San Diego, potentially topping the 68,498 who showed up for a 2008 match in which Mexico took on an Argentina team led by Lionel Messi.
Osorio said he is looking forward to a good game in front of a great crowd.
“Chile has a great team with all the possibilities, which is why I think it will be a great match for us, with a high level of play,” Osorio said, via IBT. “It’s no surprise they won the Copa America, and I would say yes, it will be a candidate to win again, but Mexico’s also included in that group.”
While fans who watch the Mexico vs. Chile football match live online will see quite a challenge for El Tri, Osorio said it is a great primer for the upcoming tournament. Mexico’s first match in the Copa America Centenario is Saturday against Uruguay in Phoenix.
There will also be some lineup changes after last Saturday’s 1-0 win over Paraguay, ESPNFC reported. Osorio said that Jesus Corona will start one half in goal and Alfredo Talavera the other one, as he is giving no indication which player he will start in the Copa America. Their performances on Wednesday night could end up deciding that.

The team will also get an infusion of players on break from their European teams, including Jesus “Tecatito” Corona, Miguel Layun, Hector Herrera, Raul Jimenez, and Diego Reyes. Osorio said each of those players will be on the field between 45 and 60 minutes in Wednesday’s match.
