‘RHOBH’ Star Yolanda Hadid Cut Off By David Foster?
Yolanda Hadid is severing all ties with ex-husband David Foster, including spousal support.
An insider revealed to People that both Hadid and Foster agreed not to pay each other support following their surprising divorce this past year.
While Foster cut off all financial aid, Hadid and her former husband are still on good terms.
“There is no animosity,” the insider shared. “Both are happy with their arrangement; it was done and settled months ago.”
Hadid and Foster split this past December after four years together. The two announced their divorce a month later and credited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their demise.
“Sadly we have decided to go our separate ways,” the pair revealed. “We’ve shared nine beautiful and joyous years together. During that time we experienced love, friendship and the inevitable challenges that come with managing a marriage, careers, blended families and health issues.”
Hadid would later reveal that her struggle with Lyme disease was the major source of her friction with Foster.
During a candid sit-down with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, the reality star shared how the disease had “changed the dynamic” of her marriage with Foster. In the end, the disease proved to be the deciding factor in their split — so much for “in sickness and health.”
At least Hadid and Foster ended things in good standing. In fact, despite not paying any support, Foster did help Hadid secure a new apartment after their split.
Yolanda Hadid has three kids from her previous marriage to Mohamed Hadid, including Gigi, 20, Bella, 19, and Anwar, 16.
According to Perez Hilton, it is unclear why Hadid and Foster decided against paying out support for each other. However, it is possible that they simply divided their assets and decided to avoid the headache of sorting out alimony payments.
That being said, Hadid originally wanted Foster to pay both support and legal fees. Apparently, the two were able to work things out behind the scenes. After all, this was not the first divorce for Foster and Hadid.
For Foster, this marks the third time he has gone through the divorce process. According to the Hollywood Gossip, the music producer was well prepared for a potential split with Hadid.
Although it isn’t clear what happened behind the scenes, the fact that neither Hadid nor Foster have to pay support probably had a part in the agreement. Of course, it also isn’t known if Hadid will have to pay her medical bills in the future or if she worked something out with Foster.
Meanwhile, Hadid’s divorce came as a shock to both fans and her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-stars.
During Hadid’s interview with Cohen, she went on to admit that she was blindsided by the timing of her split from Foster.
“Yeah, I didn’t think that was the end of the road. I would have hoped to wait until I got 100 percent well,” Hadid shared. “You can’t imagine how much it takes for a man to take care of somebody that’s sick all the time.”
While Foster has faced criticism for leaving Hadid before she got better, the reality star has stuck by her husband’s decision to part ways.
“David didn’t change, I’m the one who changed. And this is the outcome of that,” Hadid told Cohen.
Hadid also revealed that there was a prenuptial agreement she signed prior to their wedding in 2011. The details of the agreement are unknown, but it clearly prevented Hadid from getting much if the relationship didn’t work out.
When asked about whether or not she regretted not getting spousal support from Foster, Hadid admitted that she is not disappointed with how things turned out.
“Not at all. I married for love, not for money,” she stated.
