Model Has Ribs Removed For Smaller Waist [Video]

Pixee Fox is a “plastic surgery model,” and she recently had some ribs removed to help advance her career. The model, originally from Sweden, has said that as a young girl she never felt like she fit in. That’s why she ultimately moved to the United States as an adult, so that she could get the body modifying procedures that she desired in order to achieve the outward appearance she’s comfortable displaying.

The model had to search far and wide to find a plastic surgeon willing to help her fulfill her dream of having her ribs removed in order to shrink her waist. As KCTV 5 reports, the she ultimately found a doctor willing to help. That doctor, Barry Eppley of Eppley Plastic Surgery in Carmel, Indiana, removed six of the model’s ribs. The result of the painful and controversial procedure was the 16-inch waist the model had been seeking,

Having her ribs removed was far from the only plastic surgery procedure the model has undergone. In addition to having six ribs removed to achieve an unnaturally tiny waist, the model has also had a brow lift, a butt lift, three nose jobs, four breast augmentations, and two eyelid surgeries, among various other procedures.

Pixee Fox has made quite a name for herself on social media, and has quite a following on Instagram, which has allowed her to turn her hobby (i.e., undergoing plastic surgery procedures) into a career as a “plastic surgery model.”

According to the model, she doesn’t have body dysmorphia, or a low self-esteem, or any other mental disorders. She just likes getting plastic surgery. She assures critics and fans alike that she’s doing what she loves, and that she could do anything she chose to, but that being a plastic surgery model is her passion.

“Every surgery, I’m getting happier. Doesn’t matter if I want to be a plastic model or I want to be an electrician. I can do whatever.”

As far as plastic surgery procedures go, the model’s recent surgery to have six ribs removed is both controversial and painful, even according to the doctor who was willing to perform it when other doctors said no. Dr. Eppley described what he had to do in order to make his model patient’s dreams a reality.

“Ribs wrap around. Some are attached to your sternum, others are not. They’re called free floating ribs. The bottom ribs, usually 9, 10, 11 and 12 are called free floaters. Everybody knows there’s a lot of meat on ribs. For those of who like to eat ribs, that’s meat. For me, as a surgeon, that’s muscle. You have to remove some muscle to take them off the ribs when you do it.”

Even though she just had six ribs removed, the model isn’t done having plastic surgery yet. She says that she has more procedures in mind to help her reach her ultimate goal of looking like a cartoon character (think Jessica Rabbit.)

The model has incurred a lot of criticism for her decision to have six ribs removed simply to achieve a smaller waist, but her doctor has been the target of even more judgement and even outright anger for performing the controversial procedure in the first place.

Dr. Barry Eppley has defended his decision to fulfill his model patient’s wish to have her ribs removed for “beauty.” He told the media that he often performs surgeries that other doctors won’t touch, and the result has been a boom in his business with patients coming from across the globe to seek out his services. According to Eppley, he’s in the business of “helping people feel happier.”

Removing unwanted ribs isn’t the only controversial surgery that the doctor performs; he also reportedly offers skull sculpting surgery. Like rib removal, skull sculpting is a plastic surgery procedure most doctors won’t don’t for purely cosmetic reasons.
