Madonna And Britney Spears Billboard Music Awards Performances Excite Fans
On Sunday, the 2016 Billboard Music Awards will air, and there are two main superstars that are hogging all the attention: Madonna and Britney Spears. Madonna will be performing a special tribute to Prince, and Britney Spears, who is receiving the Billboard Millennium Award, will open the show with a medley of hits.
As The Inquisitr reported earlier this week, Madonna’s tribute to Prince may or may not have received thousands of fake signatures asking the show’s producers to cancel her as the main tribute. Even if all the signatures are real, it hardly matters, since the Queen of Pop is taking the stage no matter what. According to Billboard, the show’s producers have defended Madonna.“Listen, I think everybody is entitled to their opinion, and everyone can have their own opinion, but I will say that we are honored and could not be more excited for Madonna to be on the show and to pay tribute to someone that was her friend and her peer and her colleague,” producer Mark Bracco said.
Bracco notes that the performance will be very intimate and respectful. He thinks the performance is something that’s really going to pay tribute to Prince as the groundbreaking artist he was. Madonna’s performance has caused a lot of excitement on Twitter.

Britney Spears, another musical icon, will open the awards show with a medley of hits. According to the Las Vegas Sun, Spears will not be debuting her new single.
Apparently, Britney’s management feels that there is no point in Britney previewing her single so far in advance without any release date. Perhaps Ms. Spears will debut the song at the MTV Video Music Awards in late August.“Britney will be in the new T-Mobile Arena to perform a medley of her super hits, but plans for her to debut her newest single, ‘Make Me (Oooh),’ hit a snag over the weekend. I’m reliably told that technical production difficulties outside Brit and her management’s control have caused a delay in the scheduled release of the video and single until later this summer.”
Billboard recently did an interview with Britney’s hairdresser, who tells the magazine that Ms. Spears will be wearing something sexy and effortless. Lorenzo Martin will blow her hair dry with a medium-size round brush and then set her hair in large hot rollers, which will ensure the style will last all night long. He will also minimize the frizz with a special shampoo and conditioner.
There is no doubt that Britney Spears will greet her friend Madonna backstage Sunday night. The two have been friends for years, and Madonna even performed with Britney at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles after Britney’s breakdown.
