Lisa Rinna Announces New QVC Line, ‘RHOBH’ Fans Threaten To Boycott
Lisa Rinna has been sticking her foot in her mouth for the last several months. Since joining The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills during Season 5, she has been significantly more vocal. Rinna has done primetime and daytime television shows but mostly had been out of the spotlight before beginning her reality television endeavor.
She joined the show with friend Eileen Davidson, and the two immediately stirred up controversy with their upfront approach. Season 6 was even worse for Rinna, and now that it has wrapped, things are more chaotic than they were before.
QVC is something that Lisa Rinna loves. She is debuting a new collection over the upcoming weekend, and she announced it on social media. According to All About the Tea, Lisa Rinna could lose a lot of buyers. With all of the comments she has made about people in general, there are a lot of upset social media users. They attacked Rinna on Twitter after she announced her new collection debuting Sunday and tossed her words back in her face. This likely won’t stop Rinna from saying exactly what is on her mind, but hitting her where the money comes in is the best way to get her attention. She has never been shy about saying she will do almost anything for money, including doing commercials for adult diapers.
There has been a lot of talk about whether or not Lisa Rinna will be returning to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for Season 7. Andy Cohen has been asked to fire her alongside Eileen Davidson and Erika Jayne. Bravo has not yet decided what to do with the cast, especially after the kind of ratings the show had versus some of the others in the franchise. Rinna is a loose cannon and says exactly what she is thinking, regardless if it will go over well or not. She caught a lot of grief for stepping up to Kim Richards during Season 5 and is getting the same for her beef with Lisa Vanderpump during Season 6. Rinna isn’t going to let anyone shut her up.
In the weeks since The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ended, Lisa Rinna has snapped on social media more than once. She called her critics both “fat” and “toothless,” most of them taking offense to what she was saying. Several of those comments came into play when the QVC slot was announced, but Rinna has not taken the time to respond. These angry critics are calling for people to boycott her new line. If this makes a dent, Rinna could see a drop in sales. This will be a message sent and will be received loud and clear. The collection is set to debut on May 22, so only time will tell.
News about Season 7 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills should be released soon. Lisa Rinna will likely be asked back, especially if the network wants ratings to continue to soar. Despite her bad manners and accusatory tones, Rinna has been a welcome addition to the franchise. Andy Cohen has not openly discussed whether or not she will be asked back, but he did respond to complaints that were being thrown at him. He indicated they would not be firing half the cast and to stay tuned for more information.
While she may be mouthy, Lisa Rinna is part of the entertainment and appeal of the show. No one has taken on Lisa Vanderpump like that, and many fans are cheering her on from the sidelines. Lisa Rinna has a mouth on her, and she isn’t afraid to throw her thoughts out there, even if it isn’t the right thing to do.
