Katy Perry ‘Blames’ Taylor Swift For Selena Gomez & Orlando Bloom Cheating Scandal [Report]

Katy Perry is allegedly pointing the finger at Taylor Swift following reports that Selena Gomez and Orlando Bloom were getting flirty in Las Vegas last week.

According to a new report by Radar Online, an insider close to Perry recently admitted that “Katy is putting the blame for this on Taylor Swift” following the recent drama surrounding her boyfriend, Orlando, and Selena, alleging that Gomez’s close friendship with Swift was the reason Gomez got close to Bloom.

“[Katy had] said that Selena has wanted her man forever,” an insider told the site of the drama surrounding Orlando and Selena’s Sin City run-in.

The source added that Perry believes “being friends with Swift inspired Gomez to make her move” on Bloom while Katy was back home in California.

Selena and Orlando were spotted getting “touchy-feely” at a Las Vegas club after Gomez’s concert last week, according to TMZ, which claimed that they “started neck-nuzzling and embracing in a booth” while Katy was nowhere to be seen.

The reports inspired a slew of users to take to social media to speculate that Swift may have been behind the supposed get together, suggesting that Taylor’s famously fractured relationship with Katy saw her encourage Selena to get close to Orlando, who has been dating Perry for the past six months.

“Selena made out with Orlando Bloom who is going out with Katy Perry who is Taylor Swift’s enemy,” @Harriett_Lately bluntly tweeted, while @trustacoustics wrote, “selena is a REAL bestfriend. look at her ruining katy’s relationship to avenge taylor’s loss of her tour dancers. queen of badblood.”

“Taylor probably planted Selena to make out with Orlando to continue to ruining Katy’s life,” @sleep2dream tweeted, and @karenjax1124 speculated, “no 1 is seeing the Taylor Swift angle to this? Selena was def recruited by TS to break up Katy’s relationship.”

Notably, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift have long not seen eye-to-eye, with Swift appearing to confirm that her scathing hit about a friendship gone bad, “Bad Blood,” was about her fractured relationship with Perry in a candid interview with Rolling Stone.

“For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not,” the star said of an unnamed female popstar she was feuding with back in 2014. “She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'”

Taylor Swift then confessed that the person in question sabotaged her tour before admitting, “So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it.”

It was largely reported that Swift was referring to Perry in the interview, and Katy appeared to confirm the reports with a cryptic tweet posted to her official Twitter page in September 2014.

“Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing,” Perry tweeted, which had fans speculating she was comparing Taylor to the Mean Girls villain Regina George.

But despite the recent drama surrounding Katy, Selena, Taylor, and Orlando, the foursome have so far stayed tight-lipped in regards to rumors that Katy Perry is pointing the finger at Swift for the recent cheating speculation.

However, Hollywood Life claimed earlier this year that Gomez has allegedly been turning to Swift for dating advice in recent months.

The site claimed in March that Taylor had been giving Selena some relationship advice since celebrating her one-year anniversary with boyfriend Calvin Harris and has supposedly been encouraging Gomez to get back into the dating game.

“Taylor has been reminding Selena that she had to kiss a few frogs before finding love with Calvin Harris,” a source claimed to the site, admitting that Swift “just tells her to keep believing that her time will come and not to settle.”

The source also alleged to the site that Selena “would give anything” to have “a relationship like Taylor and Calvin’s” and was supposedly looking to Swift’s blossoming romance as a template of what she’s hoping for in a relationship of her own.
