Ariana Grande And Ricky Alvarez Break Up? Ariana Hints She’s Single

Have Ariana Grande and boyfriend Ricky Alvarez officially broken up?

Grande appeared to drop some pretty serious hints that she may once again be single in an interview with Closer magazine, where she discussed dating and heartbreak.

Ariana appeared to suggest that she was single in the interview, admitting that she can’t get a date because she just doesn’t have the time in her busy schedule to meet anyone new.

“I think men approach me less now I’m famous, but then I hardly ever go out any more,” Ariana told the magazine about her struggles with relationships, where she also appeared to hint at a possible split by speaking out about break-ups.

“I’m not pretending I have great break-up advice. It’s hard,” Grande, who did not mention Ricky in the interview, told the magazine. “It’s nice to have someone that makes you happy, but it’s nice to be happy on your own as well.”

While it’s not clear when Ariana spoke to the magazine, the interview caused a whole lot of speculation online, with a slew of publications and fans speculating that Grande could have been alluding to a split with Ricky, who she met while he was a dancer on her Honeymoon Tour.

As J-14 noted, “Ariana had become a little more comfortable sharing cuddly moments with Ricky on Snapchat” in recent months, though the star appears to have kept her social media notably free of romantic snaps of herself and her man recently.

The site also pointed out that Grande and Alvarez “never walked the red carpet together and they weren’t flaunting their relationship” and also never officially confirmed their relationship despite their cozy photos, which could suggest that if Ariana and Ricky have officially split, they’d likely keep it as private as their almost year-long romance.

Though neither Grande nor Alvarez have confirmed reports of a break-up, a number of fans took to social media to speculate about the current status of Ariana and Ricky’s relationship, suggesting that the couple may have split after what’s thought to be around 10 months together.

“Did ariana and Ricky actually break up or is it a rumor?” @warzonebutera wrote on May 16 and @grandevoxals wrote, “theres rumors that ariana [and] ricky broke up IM LIVING.”

“DID RICKY AND ARIANA BREAK UP?!!!!” @BieberzMain tweeted, while Twitter user @nayathough wrote on the social media site, “I really don’t think Ariana and Ricky are together anymore but I think they’re still friends.”

Ariana fan also speculated that the two may have split on the 140-character site, noting that the couple, or former couple, had not been seen together in recent weeks.

“I haven’t seen any pictures of Ariana and Ricky recently,” @trulyrevivals tweeted, “are they still together or am I just not paying attention for some reason?”

However, other users took to social media to squash rumors of a break-up between Ariana and Ricky, speculating that Alvarez was, in fact, featured on one of Grande’s Snapchat videos, though the star opted not to show his face.

Posting a screenshot of one of Ariana’s recent Snapchat uploads alongside a photo showing off Ricky’s tattoos, Grande fan @absoluteagb suggested on May 17 that the two had not split and were spending time together with Grande’s dogs.

Another social media user who uses the handle @whytryhealy also posted screencaptures of Ariana’s recent Snapchat uploads, claiming that they showed Grande and Alvarez together on May 16.
