Kit Harington Says Falling For Rose Leslie Was ‘Easy’, Used Jon Snow To Avoid Jail
Watching Kit Harington and Rose Leslie on Game of Thrones as lovers from the wrong side of the wall was a beautiful thing. The road Jon Snow and Ygritte traveled was rocky, passionate, and cold; ultimately leading to tragedy. The real life couple has managed to weather the storm both professionally and personally and they have been together on and off since 2012.
Until recently, the former costars kept their relationship under the radar, but a report from POPSUGAR reveals that when Harington was asked by L’Uomo Vogue about his favorite memories from the show, he seemed to favor a time in Season 2 when he and Leslie were shooting in Iceland.
“Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love. If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love.”
It doesn’t get much more romantic than that. The couple isn’t particularly chatty about their relationship, so Kit Harington’s answer regarding memories and love is a juicy nugget that he owes his fans after messing with their minds for months. Kit has been on an apology tour lately due to his character’s magical return to the land of the living. He sent fans into a panic when he was murdered by a few of the men of the Night’s Watch, and lied repeatedly about returning. At least he has Rose, who along with his parents and a complete stranger helped him carry the burden of such a big secret, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Should we believe it when Harington says that a police officer used his position to gain important information regarding his fate on the show? We may never know because he has a reputation now for not exactly telling the truth.
While Kit Harington and Rose Leslie fell in love on Game of Thrones, they have known each other for quite some time. They took a brief intermission after a year together and then quietly got back together in 2014, and the follicly blessed duo are still going strong. They walked the red carpet together last month at the Oliver Awards, and just recently celebrated Harington’s participation in a play, Doctor Faustus at the Cuckoo Club.
Rosie Leslie may not be on Game of Thrones anymore (Ygritte was killed by Olly who also assisted in the murder of Jon Snow), but she doesn’t want to if it means working with Kit Harington again, according to a news item in the International Business Times.
“I think it’s important to do your own projects that mean a lot to you individually, rather than be associated with someone else. I’m a big believer in doing your own thing.”
Kit Harington is still employed on Game of Thrones as Jon Snow, although it remains to be seen just how much of the Jon Snow we know is left after returning from the dead and leaving the Night’s Watch. Kit Harington’s next project is with Robert Pattinson in Brimstone, a western thriller.
