Safaree Samuels Boo’d Up With Nikki Mudarris, Joining ‘Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood’?

Safaree Samuels, Nicki Minaj’s former lover and hype man, may have a new Nikki in his life. The rapper has sparked rumors that he’s dating Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star Nikki Mudarris after they were spotted together in Los Angeles. TMZ caught up with the duo on Friday, capturing video of them holding hands as they made their way toward a waiting SUV.

When asked if they are dating, Samuels laughs and Mudarris responds, “Y’all so nosy.”

Their union could be a clever PR stunt designed to ignite interest in Season 3 of Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood. Samuels is rumored to be joining the cast, which reportedly will see the return of Miss Nikki Mudarris, Tierra Mari, Moniece Slaughter, Hazel E, Jason Lee, Lil Fizz, Soulja Boy, Nia Riley, Masika Kalysha, Ray J, and Princess Love. Former main cast members Apryl Jones and Omarion confirmed that they “are not going to do the next season.”

Samuels dated Minaj for 12 years before a very public and messy break-up in 2014. Since then, he has been spotted with models Zashia Santiago and Sophia Body. Nicki has said that their relationship and split influenced her 2014 album The Pinkprint.

Last year, Safaree went on The Breakfast Club to reveal that he was the one who pulled the plug on their relationship.

“I’m not going to say I broke up, but I’m the one who walked away. I packed up my stuff and I left,” he explained. “I just got to the point where the respect wasn’t there. Everyone around her works for her, you know?… And it got to the point where I was being treated like an employee, instead of like her man.”

Minaj has since moved on to rapper Meek Mill, with whom Samuels had beef with last year. Safaree certainly has his famous ex to thank for helping him jumpstart his rap career, instead of simply being known as her former hype man and producer. Ending the relationship with Minaj has allowed him to focus on his “Stunt Gang” imprint, through which he has released several projects. His single “Can’t Lie” featuring Olaf premiered via Billboard magazine back in January. He has also released a diss track aimed at his ex-girlfriend and her new boo, Meek Mill, called “Lifeline,” in which he claims he was a ghostwriter on The Pinkprint and Pink Friday.

Miss Nikki Mudarris manages her family’s Hollywood and Las Vegas clubs, as viewers learned on the first season of Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood. The series is a spin-off and the third installment of the Love & Hip Hop franchise. It chronicles the lives of hip-hop artists and the women who love, support, and obsess over them. VH1 has yet to announce the Season 3 premiere date.

The Shade Room notes that some additional new faces this season may be singer and songwriter Lyrica, who has written songs for Chris Brown and Beyoncé. The site reported that she will be joining the cast with her boyfriend. One other new artist allegedly joining the cast is Keyshia Cole’s estranged husband Daniel Gibson, who is an aspiring rapper.

Safaree Samuels dropped his new release “Go For It” last month. The track finds him boasting about his lavish lifestyle, which includes hooking up with rich women, like Nikki Mudarris. Fans will have to wait for the new season of Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood to determine just how authentic Samuels and Mudarris are.
