Khloe Kardashian Cuts Ties With Caitlyn Jenner, Chooses Kris Jenner On ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ Season 12

Keeping Up With the Kardashians Season 12 started with a bang on Sunday, May 1. In the premiere episode, Khloe Kardashian revealed that she no longer wanted to have to do anything with her former stepdad Bruce Jenner, now known as Caitlyn Jenner.

In the latest episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 12, Khloe was seen doing a bunch of promotions for her new book, Strong Looks Better Naked, when she received several angry texts from Caitlyn. Turns out, the I am Cait star saw her recent interview on the Howard Stern Show and was upset about how Khloe had talked about Caitlyn’s transition.

Khloe decided to let her mom, Kris Jenner, handle the whole thing, saying that she was done with Caitlyn. The Kocktails with Khloe star shared that Caitlyn was unhappy with what she shared on the show and felt as if her own family had betrayed her. This infuriated Khloe even more since she believed that she did not say anything inappropriate.

“You slaughtered my mother, and you have the nerve to say, ‘What happened to family sticking together?’… She can tell me to f— off all she wants, I don’t have a relationship with her. I’m done,” she told Kris.

Later in the episode, a tearful Kris Jenner tried to patch things up between Caitlyn Jenner and Khloe Kardashian. The momager told her ex-husband that she should cut the 31-year-old some slack. She pointed out that the whole family was quite hurt and was still adjusting to the whole process.

“You were her father. You were her dad since she was five years old. Give her a break.”

Back in January, Khloe gave a no holds barred interview about Caitlyn’s transition on the Howards Stern Show. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star revealed that they only found out about Bruce’s desire to be a woman during a meeting with the E! executives, where they talked about giving Caitlyn her own series, now called I am Cait.

While upset with the news, Khloe said that what hurt them more was that Bruce repeatedly lied to them. She shared that they would often ask him about the it, but he would consistently tell them that the rumors were not true. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star held that they all felt betrayed when the news finally broke.

To make matters worse, Khloe Kardashian revealed that Caitlyn Jenner only wanted to talk to them while the cameras were rolling.

“I think it was also for security. Maybe he felt like we couldn’t get as upset or whatever,” she explained.

While Bruce eventually decided to have a private conversation with the family, Khloe Kardashian shared that he never said anything about transitioning. She shared that they only learned about Caitlyn when they all watched his Diane Sawyer interview, something that he made them watch as a family.

“We didn’t even know about Diane Sawyer until it was taped and done. On that show is when we genuinely found out about transitioning,” Khloe recounted.

Caitlyn Jenner’s transition has been particularly hard on the younger Kardashians. In an earlier episode of Kocktails with Khloe, the reality star shared that Kourtney’s oldest son, Mason Disick, had been uncomfortable seeing his grandfather Bruce act differently. She, however, explained that they tried to be as honest with Mason as they could possibly can.

“He was confused because he was like, ‘What are you doing, Grandpa?’ Mason was uncomfortable and be distant towards Caitlyn but she understood perfectly.”
