It has only been a few weeks since Love & Hip Hop New York closed up Season 6 with a reunion show, but we’re already starting to hear rumors about Season 7. There have been reports that the LHHNY cast has started filming already, and that some returning cast members have already been confirmed.
According to Love & Hip Hop Tea on Twitter, Love & Hip Hop New York has already begun filming Season 7. It seems pretty early to have cameras rolling, considering that Season 6 just ended and Love & Hip Hop Atlanta is only three episodes in. VH1 must have big plans for LHHNY next season if they are already taping scenes.

The tea-spilling Twitter account also confirmed that Bianca and MariahLynn will be back on fans’ screens for Season 7. Then they went even further to say that almost all the cast members from Season 6 will be back for another round. That leaves us to wonder who might be out since just about everyone will be back.
There is a possibility that the Peter Gunz love triangle with Tara Wallace and Amina Buddafly might be over after this last season. There are multiple reports claiming that Amina left Peter and moved to Los Angeles. Is it possible that she’s had enough of Peter’s antics and finally realized that she was becoming a laughingstock on reality TV? While Amina’s departure does seem the most likely, it’s not like she can’t “move back” to New York in order to film again. That’s what Stevie J and Joseline did after filming their spinoff and then returning to Atlanta for another round of LHHATL.
As for Peter Gunz’ messy relationship with Amina, it looks like they aren’t headed for divorce yet. Even though Peter has been seen out with Tara since her move to Los Angeles, Amina is still posting on Instagram in defense of their relationship. In April, Amina wrote, “I love my husband.. Always will and we are not divorced or divorcing. We are currently separated,” according to Fashion & Style.
To further prove that they aren’t going anywhere, Peter posted a birthday message for Amina last week that said, “Happy Birthday World!!!!! See you soon @aminabuddafly.”

Other cast members who are expected to return include Remy Ma and Papoose, who just joined the show last season. Another newcomer, Cardi B, is also expected to make a return, especially considering her first season turned Cardi into one of the most popular cast members on the LHHNY. Yandy Smith is also very active with the VH1 hit and many of the past and present cast members. She is expected to return and to keep fans informed about Mendeecees Harris as he serves his eight year prison sentence that he began as Season 6 was wrapping up.
It looks like Jhonni Blaze won’t be headed back to LHHNY even though she was in Season 5 and then skipped Season 6. It was announced that she will be at least making appearances on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta instead. It’s unclear how she will be introduced with the rest of the cast, but Jhonni will likely fit in with the Atlanta group better anyway.
As far as newcomers to the Love & Hip Hop New York stage, there are no reports yet on what new blood that Mona Scott-Young might be bringing to VH1 for Season 7. Who would you like to see added to the LHHNY cast? Tell us what you think in the comments section below.
