Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Engaged? Baby Rumors Surface Ahead Of Duet

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been facing engagement rumors for months, but is The Voice couple really planning to wed? Following news of their potential engagement, a source claims Gwen Stefani, who reportedly wants a baby with Shelton in the future, will marry the country star “soon.”

While Gwen Stefani and Shelton have stayed mum on a future engagement and on starting a family, they continue to grow close and may be ready to say “I do.”

On April 28, The Hollywood Gossip claimed, Shelton would make an “honest woman” out of Gwen Stefani “soon.”

“Blake could propose to [Gwen Stefani] very soon,” a source close to Shelton explained to Us Weekly earlier this month. “Gwen is everything he wants… With Gwen, Blake has the family life he’d hoped to have with Miranda. Her kids love him as much as she does.”

Although Shelton was married to Miranda Lambert for four years before their July 2015 divorce, the couple did not have any children together. Meanwhile, Gwen Stefani and her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale, share three sons: Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo.

“Blake wants kids of his own, and [Gwen Stefani] is willing to try!” the source added.

That said, Gwen Stefani and Shelton’s schedules aren’t exactly baby friendly. As Gwen Stefani promotes her new album, This Is What The Truth Feels Like, and prepares to embark on her upcoming tour, Shelton is currently filming The Voice Season 10 and will release his new album, If I’m Honest, next month.

As they juggle their busy schedules, the Us Weekly source revealed the couple is keeping in touch via text message.

“[Gwen Stefani] texts Blake a million times a day, but he doesn’t mind at all. Blake hasn’t been this happy in years!” the source said.

At the end of last month, a source spoke to In Touch Weekly, revealing Gwen Stefani was taking steps to ensure she and Shelton would be physically able to conceive a child when they are ready. According to the report, the 46-year-old mother of three was freezing her eggs in hopes of having a baby girl with her partner.

However, according to another report, via Hollywood Life, Gwen Stefani and Shelton aren’t planning to welcome their first child together until after they get married.

In other news regarding Gwen Stefani and Shelton’s romance, the couple will soon release a duet. On Shelton’s new album, he and Gwen Stefani will be heard on their very first collaboration, and according to Shelton, the track may be the best he’s even written.

“[The song] is very personal for us both because, you know, we obviously have this bond that is remarkable together,” Shelton told Entertainment Tonight last week. “But the fact that we wrote a song together – I know that I don’t co-write that much because I’m very insecure about it I guess and [Gwen Stefani’s] kind of got her circle of people that she writes with. But for us to reach out to each other as writers, it may never happen again, who knows.”

“I hesitate to brag on it too much but I really think that it’s as good of a song as I’ve ever written in my life,” the singer shared.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton began dating at the end of last year while filming The Voice Season 9, and while Stefani wasn’t featured as a coach during Season 10, she was seen in the role of advisor for Team Shelton.
