Britney Spears Plans Her Big Move: Is She Expanding Her Family?
Britney Spears is reportedly making some major changes in her life. The pop star is putting her luxurious California home on the market. Does that mean that Britney plans to move into a larger home so that she can expand her family?
According to a new report, Britney Spears has put her home on the market for a hefty asking price: $8,995,000. The mansion sits on one and a half acres of land and features five bedrooms and seven and a half baths along with two offices, a movie room, a game/media room, a dining room, and a kitchen that opens into another two-story room. Spears’ home also has a covered patio with an outdoor fireplace, kitchen, an infinity-edge pool, and gardens that provide views of the mountains.
The master room is a room all itself. It has French doors that lead to the gardens along with a dressing room that features a chandelier and jetted hot tub. If you can’t afford Britney’s home for nearly $9 million, then you can settle for a 20 percent down payment plus a $40,639 monthly mortgage payment. The home also comes with a monthly HOA fee of $2,280, along with estimated taxes and insurance of $4,174.

News of Britney Spears’ Thousand Oaks home was first reported in Variety earlier this month. Spears first purchased the home in November 2012 for $6,744,500 at the time. Next to the “Spanish hacienda-style mansion” sits the Sherwood Country Club and the Thousand Oaks gated community. Spears remains super focused on her family as she makes the next big move in her life.
The pop star took to Instagram to share photos and videos of her two sons, Preston, 10, and Jayden James, 9, on Tuesday, April 26.
“No homework! Best day ever!” Britney wrote in the caption of her smiling sons.
The “Pretty Girls” singer also posted a series of videos of her sons jumping on the trampoline after school. Last week, Spears took to Instagram to share videos of herself embarrassing her sons as she lip-synced along to Michael Jackson in the car. Fans have been wondering if Spears will ever expand her family.
The 34-year-old is “considering adopting a little girl from Malawi,” according to the British tabloids.
“She’s considering adopting a little girl from Malawi. They’ve discussed the process on several occasions, and she’s always wanted a daughter,” an insider was quoted saying.
Gossip Cop has already denied this bogus tabloid report. Britney Spears’ reps told the rumor-debunking outlet that the reports are “not true.” There was a similar report in Life & Style that alleged Britney wanted to adopt a little girl from China.
Aside from her family, Spears has been performing on her successful Las Vegas residency and recording music for her new album. She told V Magazine that the record is the “best thing” that she’s ever done in a “long time” – and she seems pretty proud of it.
“I’m proud of the work, and it’s very different; it’s not what you would think at all. But I’m not rushing anything. I just want it to be done right, so that my fans will truly appreciate it. I would much rather have it completely how I want it to be, whether that takes another year for me to do, or two months. I have no idea at this point.”
Britney has been teasing new music ever since she shared the sizzling photos from her V Magazine shoot earlier this year. Sources previously claimed that she plans to drop her hot new single “Make Me (Oooh)” on May 16, which will lead up to her new album that is rumored for release in June. There are also rumors that Britney will perform her new single at this year’s Billboard Music Awards on May 22.
